Description: We set out to create a fun place to eat great food, served by really friendly people, in a relaxifying atmosphere, surrounded by cool art & good music. Simple. We want our place to be a spot where you can come and have a wonderful time after a fantastic day of hiking, a long day of driving, or a lazy, waste-lots-of-time-doing-nothin' day & find an oasis of enjoyment for your senses. There's a reason we don't have WiFi. Chill. Exhale. Sit. Listen. Look around. Power down. Kill the phone. Stow the tablet. Talk to the people you're dining with. Talk to the people sitting next to you. Enjoy your meal. Don't rush.(Unless you've been at the table for three hours, then you need to: eat it & beat it!. And no, we don't mean eat the table, that would take a long time and the splinters are hard to digest). Smile.

Ate dinner at Rocking V while on vacation with wife. She had a chicken over pasta and it was tasty made with fresh ingredients. I had the deep dish vegetarian enchilada. It was awesome and I'm a meat eater! Owner was great and seemed to really care about his customers. Waitress was slow and had to request water refills but that really did not affect our evening.

“Second time in five years - Still the best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

In 2009 we traveled through this area to see Zion. The food was really good then. My wife checked Trip Advisor and discovered that place was still highly rated. We walked about a half a mile from where we were staying and had a good appetite upon our arrival. The tropical ice tea was really good. My wife ordered the deep dish enchilada. It was good but a little bit too spicy. We are from Arizona and we enjoy spicy food but this was just a bit too much. Not a dish that you would expect to be overly spicy. My Homers dream pork chop was great. Brings back memories of thick cut Iowa pork chops. It was slow cooked, (not burnt or dried out) and had excellent flavor. It was served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes with orange colored ground mustard around the perimeter of the plate. Wish I would have asked who's mustard did they used. It was that good! We had crème brulee for dessert. It was really good but no match for the very best. You won't be disappointed with it. This is truly a great place. They were very busy almost full with over fifty people eating and the service was excellent. .

“May be the nicest place in Kanab for a good meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

Great service and the food was great and creative. Be sure to look around the gallery too. It may be a little pricey compared to some of the other options, but the chef has created some inventive dishes and there are options for vegetarians and vegans too. I bet the same food would cost even more if it were in a big city.

“Good food - Great decor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

A bit upscale - some might consider it a little overpriced. My filet was a very nice portion and quite tasty. I ordered it MR and thought it was more on the order of M.

An extensive and beautiful gallery of local work can be viewed on both floors!

“Gem in Kanab”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

We had a one night stop in Kanab in our road trip. This restaurant was one of our favourite meal stops so far - and we have been to some great places! Decor was great, good was fantastic (and worth the prices, which were not that high) and the service was exceptional - Vic greats everyone personally and makes you feel like a special guest. We would plan future trips around stopping here! Highly recommend.
