It is the little things that make this place special. There is a fire pit to relax by and enjoy a glass of wine with hosts Travis and Matt and other guests. Canyons is close to really awesome hiking in Zion or Bryce Canyons and is an hour and a half drive to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Travis provides tips from how to get in to The Wave to where to get the best cookies for the journey.

After reading reviews on tripadvisor we booked a last minute room here after getting wet and muddy in Buckskin Gulch. We were soo pleasantly surprised with how great this place was, even after reading the rave reviews. There are so many little special touches throughout, and the continental breakfast was phenomenal. The mgr. Travis was extremely friendly and helpful in every way. They even have a couple cruiser bikes you can borrow and pedal around town. Check out the Dog House Tavern for great food and drinks and go to the Best Friends Sanctuary for a free tour if you're passing through Kananb!

Liked our little room for our short stay. Originally we had the comfy queen room but kindly got upgraded to a dual queen for 10 bucks more. No biggie since we got a cool 15% from trip adviser. We got to see both rooms and pick the one we wanted, the choice was obvious. The room was two times bigger, bigger tv and just more comfortable. Service was great and the recommendations were on point. Funny how much he knew about the places we were going and tours we were taking. If we come back again, we'd stay here.

Room Tip: Queen Comfy is smaller than you think.

After hiking peek a boo and spooky slot canyons, we were greeted by Matt and Travis with happy hour by the fire pit! Everything about this hotel is first class! The rooms are great and the breakfast was perfect. Can't wait to come back and swim in the cement pond! Thanks you Matt and Travis for a perfect stay and "The Wave" was awesome.

This was a special hotel. My family stayed here on June 25th and booked the hotel after reading all the great reviews. The accommodations were fantastic! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff was simply wonderful. My wife and I were sitting around their outdoor fireplace and the manager came out and provided complementary wine. The manager seemed interested in making sure our stay was special, asking if there was anything more we wanted or needed each time we talked. I would highly recommend it, and plan to return in the future.

What a great find. Stopped in Kanab after driving through Zion. Was going to Best Western in Kanab but decided to check reviews in Trip Advisor first. Canyons Lodge had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. It's on the edge of town so it's a longer walk to downtown, especially in cold weather, but who cares....this was the most comfortable motel I stayed in my whole two-week trip around from Phoenix to Denver and all around southeast Utah.

Most comfortable bed, cleanest, most charm (log cabin interior), wifi, big fridge, microwave, robes, and flat screen tv with direct tv! That direct tv was a welcome sight after the scores of hotel/motel remotes and cable packages where you can't tell what channels work and most of time a guide isn't even provided. 7 channels of HBO. What a stroke of genius.

The room was immaculate, everything worked well. Even had a ceiling fan. And what works best for me is being able to park right outside your door for easy access to all the stuff in your vehicle that you don't want to haul back and forth up steps, elevators, or up and down hallways.

To the owner: Kudos! Job well done.

Stumbled onto this place purely by chance. Once again, serendipity comes through! Travis and Matt (the owners) were super friendly, gave excellent recommendations on activities, (a great canyon hike and a visit to the animal sanctuary), sent us to a fantastic restaurant (The Rocking V), welcomed us with a glass of excellent wine, and even let us play with their unbelievably cute dog, Seba. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we stayed over an extra night. If we'd had more time, we'd have stayed longer. The rooms (we moved from a double queen to a king) were both very comfortable, well designed, and full of extra touches (robes, nice art, full bath, nice comforters, etc.) that distinguish a place like this from the run of the mill motel. Though the pool was closed for the winter, it looked great, and the gas fire pit surrounded by interesting people and good wine (generously offered by Matt and Travis) was hard to leave. From the free bikes to the welcome card on the pillows, these guys work hard to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. We'll definitely be back.
