Attraction details
Owner description: The free Little Hollywood Movie Museum , a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non profit, exhibits a collection of actual movie sets as the centerpiece of its exploration of how the sleepy little town of Kanab became the back lot for movies like The Outlaw Josey Wales, Planet Of The Apes & Stagecoach and a haunt for Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Charleton Heston, Clint Eastwood and more recently, Kiefer Sutherland and Willem Dafoe. Both on the big screen and on TV in such classics as The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke and Lassie, Southern Utah defines the way we see the American West. The Museum is set behind Trading Post of the West, a gift shop focused on Made in the USA merchandise including fair trade Native American Arts and Jewelry, Stetson Hats and Abilene boots. From fine gifts to fun souvenirs Trading Post of the West offers a great selection at fair prices. There are big clean restrooms, snacks, drinks and a picnic area. Kid and pet friendly. Whether you have 15 minutes or over an hour, it's a fun place to stop.

It's free, it's fun. It's interesting. A great way to learn a little about Kanab's role in movie history. I bought something in the store just because I wanted to say thanks for making this available. There was no pressure at all to do this.

this museum is interesting but do not think your missing anything if you bypass the place. The place needs some help and it does look like they are adding to the place. It is a great place for some fun photos but overall it took us 10 minutes to see and that includes pictures. It is Free.

The best thing is that it is free! This is an attraction that is badly in need of restoration. It only takes a few minutes to see what is on offer and is adjoined to a tourist shop selling the usual stuff

It is actually quite OK and free, very small, with set parts from different films. There is a shop too with all sorts of souvenirs.

A last minute decision after a recommendation from the owner of Charlies Sports bar, and was worth the visit. We put a couple of bucks in the donation box by the back door and had an enjoyable couple of hours. Had the place to ourselves when we were there. Not a lot of buildings but had fun.
