I stayed here for two nights, visiting Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (20 min away) and Zion NP (40 min away). I am quite satisfied with its quality and value. It was spacious and exceptionally clean, which I loved. I liked having a fridge and flat screen TV as well as heaters for the night time use in the room. You can tell the owners do their best to accommodate various basic needs of their customers. Nearby restaurants were quite nice and there are two pharmacies within walking distance as well (for sundries). I would have liked a free continental breakfast, but I guess that's asking too much.^^

We stayed two nights while we visited nearby Zion NP. Aikens is exceptionally clean and the beds are very comfortable, which is sometimes a problem at "value" small town motels. Aikens is centrally located within short walking distance of several very good restaurants. If you are looking for the Ritz in Kanab, don't go to Kanab. But if you are looking for a clean comfortable room while you explore the wonders of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, at a place run by nice people who seem to care about their guests, this is a great stop.

Planning for a motorcycle trip and my friend said to book the Aikens Lodge for our stay going to Arizona and coming back. Check in was quick and easy, Christa was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was small but not cramped, very easy to move around in. The bed was comfortable and there was a good array of pillows. I must say for a family run motel this is probably the top of my list for cleanliness and friendliness. I would definitely stay her again.

We booked into Aikens Lodge because of the price and the positive reviews, but I was a little apprehensive when I first opened the door to the room. It is small and very old-fashioned, but the property is immaculately maintained and every inch of the room was clean. You couldn't touch all four walls of the bathroom, but you almost could! That said, there is a table and two chairs and a fridge and a large flatscreen TV, you park in front of your room, and AC is more than efficient. You have to return the remote with an actual room key when you check out, which seems unfortunate. (Really, people??) There is laundry on-site but they close it up at 10pm, so keep that in mind (we ended up unpacking in the trunk to do our laundry right after checking in to make sure we made the cutoff). The owners were pleasant and helpful and the front office has menus of local restaurants, which are also in the guide in your room. Free wifi was speedier than in many large chains. The bed was comfortable, which was the most important thing. Really an A++ facility, and will stay there again when we need to be in the region.

We booked because of the good value. Bill and Christa welcomed us to their family run motel. The personal touch shows. Our room was very clean and ideal for our 2 nights. Christa spent about 40 mins chatting to us answering our queries. Bill advised us on where to eat. We enjoyed relaxing by the sunny pool after a busy day driving and site seeing. This motel is central but peaceful too as most of the rooms are well back from the road.

Room Tip: rooms on the east & south side are quieter.

This motel is a throwback to yesteryear-but in a positive way. You feel like you stepped back in time. It reminds me of the motels my family stopped at in the 60s. Simple, clean and efficient. It is set up in the old highway motel design. The rooms are a nice size, very clean with a small refrigerator. Bathroom is dated, but goes with the vintage mode. No tub in ours, just shower stall, but very clean. Bring your own shampoo. They provide a little packet.

Free wi-fi was an appreciated amenity.

The motel is well situated; surrounded by the outer lying monoliths around Zion. I would recommend staying in Kanab rather than Page if you are on your way to Lake Powell if you don't mind the hour it will take you to get there. Prices are exhorbitant in Page and this motel was very reasonable.

Room Tip: Getting a room closer to the office will get you ground floor with no upstairs neighbor. You can par...

We spent two nights at Aikens Lodge in Kanab, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The room was large, exceptionally clean, and had comfortable beds. Bill gave us excellent advice on restaurants and grocery store. Having free wi-fi and a small refrigerator were appreciated, and being able to park right in front of our room was great. Kanab is a great location for a home base when exploring all the national and state parks in the area, and Aikens Lodge is the place to stay in Kanab!
