We booked a trip with Will to Toroweap for Friday, May 27th 2011. It was a huge success! We set out from Kanab in his huge and comfy Suburban fitted out with two spares. We followed a paved road for a way and then 62 miles of dirt road – thus the prudent (but unused) spare tires. This trip is an adventure worthy of a Western movie, and we were lucky to have Will to help us get the most out of it. He is a perfect guide, personable and eager to share his vast knowledge. Will seems to be an expert on the geology of the area, about Toroweap, about the many different flowers and reptiles. We saw a buffalo on the road, and are pretty sure Will arranged for it to surprise us. (That worked.) Personally Will is as nice and charming as can be; professionally he is safety conscious, he was sensitive to our need to spend a few private moments together, and he was very flexible about a change in plans. We have nothing but praise for Will and Dreamland Safari Tours.

We visited Kanab, UT over Memorial Day weekend and brought our ATVs along to ride. Our 1st ride was to Hogs Canyon which proved to be to tough for some members of our group. While fueling the truck I bumped into Will James. Will is the proprietor/guide with Dreamland Safari Tours. Will had many ideas as to where we could ride and showed them to me on my map. My map was not as detailed as he liked so he invited us to follow him to his office where he made copies of specific trail system maps and points of interest in the area. Being Memorial Day the BLM office was closed. This saved the day for us. We rode for hours and had a great time. We did not take a tour or anything with Will, but we did receive his good customer service and attention.and our payment for Will's services was a simple thank you.

The trip to Toroweap was amazing !!! Will was a very knowledgable guide and made the trip that much more memorable. The views are breathtaking and there was no one else there !!! It was great getting away from the crowds !! I'm so happy we booked a tour with Dreamland instead of trying to make the trip ourselves.

It was a real treat to travel off road with Will and Robert. We were picked up from our hotel and did the sunset tour to see a slot canyon and sunset over Kanab. Both our guides were very knowledgeable and made you feel like you had known them for years. We did the tour at the beginning of our holiday and our guides made the physical Geography of the area from the Grand Canyon - Bryce all fit together. We learnt a lot about the geology, wildlife and way of life in this area.
We managed to pick a cold cloudy day so the sunset was rather non-existant but this was a minor point as we had had such an excellent time. Highly recommended and if we return we would like to do some of the other tours Will runs.

Will took us to Red/Peek-a-boo Canyon just north of Kanab. We considered trying to find it ourselves, but decided not to. After a few miles on a deep-sand road/track with Will, we were glad we went with him instead. This slot canyon is gorgeous and we were the only ones there! After the canyon, he drove us to the top of a hill with a 270-degree view of the area. We felt this tour was well worth our time and money. (Too bad my camera battery died along the way!)
