“Fantastic Hotel, BRAND NEW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2008

We stayed here for 3 nights, September 9-12. This was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in on our trip. The rooms are big and spacious, and the ceilings are really high, which makes it seem even bigger. The decor is a western theme, but it is really tastefully done, and makes a nice change from bare white walls. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was fantastic; nice and big with a nice shower, tiled floor, ionic hairdryer, and TONS of counter space on the sink. The air conditioning was quiet and was controlled by a thermostat on the wall so it won't run all night. Our room had a couch and a small table and chairs as well as a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. To top it off, the rooms had flatscreen tv's. The receptionist at the front desk was really nice and very helpful. This hotel has a great location, and is near Zion, Bryce Canyon and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We almost didn't want to leave this hotel when our three nights were over. If you are in Kanab stay at this hotel, which looked to be by far the best in town.

We are the, "Biggs HOG Chapter" of North San Diego County, California.
A “Well Respected”, group of Motorcycle Enthusiast.
We booked our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Kanab, Utah from September 19 to 22, 2008.

I and the other 48 people with me can't begin to tell you just how accommodating this hotel was.
The staff did everything to make our stay the most comfortable and enjoyable ever.

I am the booking coordinator for my club and I booked 30 rooms. So when it comes to complaints, I would have heard them if there were any. Instead all I heard was high praise. Our Club couldn't believe how friendly, helpful and courteous the staff was.

When we arrived, there was a sign to welcome our group along with fresh, hot baked cookies and cold drinks.

The hotel is brand new, just opening in April 2008. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and I would believe pretty well insulated for sound. Attention to detail, everything was done right. The bathroom was large, well lit with a clean tiled floor and a very nice showerhead with plenty of hot water and pressure. The AC was more than adequate and ran very quietly. We enjoy a western décor, plush new bedding, luxurious bathroom amenities, as well as many modern conveniences. They have spacious upgraded suites, which feature a microwave and refrigerator. The pool and spa area was clean and very inviting.

A full breakfast complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs. Also included an assortment of cereals, French toast, all kinds of fruits, assorted yogurts, freshly baked cinnamon rolls, all types of juices and of coarse tea and coffee from 6am to 10am. That's more than enough food to eat.

If there was anything we needed, all we did was ask and it was immediately taken care of.

I am personally in debt to these folks for making me a hero with my club.

Special Thanks to, Mr. Brandon Jensen, the hotel Manager, for allowing me to book 40 rooms before the hotel was even open for business. And Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so memorable.

If you would care to discuss any of this, please email me and I would be all too happy to explain further.

Beautiful Southwestern decor, big comfy beds, flat screen TVs (as if you'll ever be tempted to stay inside with all of the national parks a short drive away!) fridge, microwave, and yummy free breakfast! I never remember to come home and write reviews but I loved this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I was travelling with a friend and we definitely don't want to share a bed, But this property left us confused as to what we'd be getting and, sure enough, the room had only a king. It seems down right weird that they couldn't/wouldn't get the beds right even with a note on the reservation.

Other weird lacks for a new property:

Only wired Internet access in the rooms
No fridge
No microwave
Nice LCD TV but very poor selection of channels
No phone book in room

We had an overnight stay at this place with 2 rms for our family of 4. Rms were clean (except for some stains on the carpet), spacious. The rooms had no fridge, but we used our coolbox filled with ice from the icemachines instead.

Breakfast was very good. We liked to sit outside on the terrace. Very nice start of the day.

Checkin was quick and perfect.

We arrived quite late coming from Salt Lake City, passing Bryce Canyon for an afternoon-visit. After checkin we had a relaxing swim in the indoor pool. Very nice and quite big for an indoor pool.

Then we decided to get Pizza from nearby Pizzahut, which was a very good decision. We used the nice terrace to have a good meal and a good glass of wine. After that we also visited the Icecream-parlor just opposite the street to have a great cup of icecream for a very reasonable prize. The kids loved it!

Kanab is a very nice little town. We really were surprised to find such a nice place.

Brand new hotel. Great location, close to Bryce Canyon and Zion National parks. Kanab is a very nice town, very nice people. Great breakfast bar, free. Cheap do it yourself laundry. Great pool and hot tub. Rooms are very comforable and roomy. Nice bathroom. Comfortable beds. Great internet access. Friendly staff. Its a great place to stay. If you are looking for a great place to eat go to Houston's Train Ends Restaurant. Great food. Friendly people. Great portions for the money. And if you need something sweet, go across the street to the 3 Bears Ice cream parlor. Again, very nice folks there.
