Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: Dinosaurs once roamed here. Their fantastic remains are still visible embedded in the rocks. Today, the mountains, desert and untamed rivers flowing in deep canyons, support an array of life. Petroglyphs hint at earlier cultures. Later, homesteaders and outlaws found refuge here. Whether your passion is science, adventure, history or scenery, Dinosaur offers much to explore.

Great display of the work being done in the dinosaur fields of NW Colorado and NE Utah. Very easy to extensive study options are available depending on your family or group and their wishes. It holds your attention no matter what age and is awesome to see what they have found there. Our little 5 and 7 year old grand kids loved it and so did we.

I think it is cool to actually touch real dinosaur bones. Children got a Junior Ranger Book and enjoyed working to get their badge. It's a nice stop that can take as long or short as you have time for. It's nice if you are in the area, not sure I would drive very far out of the way to see it.

We visited Dinosaur NP before and highly recommend it to anybody, but this time (and due to time constriction) we just went to see McKee Spring Petroglyphs. It requires 12 mile drive on a dirt, loose rock road and the whole trip can be done in 2 hrs. Very drivable by a car, but would not go after rainstorm. Too slippery.

The petroglyphs are marvelous. See for yourself. Must see if you like petroglyphs and are in the area.

We were excited at seeing the dinosaur bones so well displayed. The whole experience was managed well from the interesting Visitor Centre, the shuttle ride to the quarry, and we chose to walk down on the interpretive walk.
