“Great place to eat!”
Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

For a fair price you get huge portions and the food is very tasty. The place looks traditionally american and the waitress was really nice (we were never left thirsty). The salad-soup-fruit bar is just amazing (big variety, fresh and tasty!), don't hesitate to eat here!

“poor service, food didn't look fresh”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

We stayed at Rodeway Inn just across the street and returned from a ling day in Zion NP, so it was around 9pm and being new in the area at that late hour we didn't search long and stopped at this place to have a late dinner. There was one more couple who came in at the same time with us. We had to wait for 10 min for somebody to show up and sit us. The girl who finally came out from the back didn't even apologize. The service continued to be just as slow and indifferent all the time. No smiling, staff looked obviously tired and not happy we stopped by (as well as 4-6 other people who came in after us). Their buffet might be good... when it's fresh, in the morning I assume... but when we came up to it, it looked like leftovers, I assume they don't refill it much, although, I would expect that they should be used to having late customers with the restaurant being in that proximity to a huge national park. Soups were cold, and didn't look appealing. We still fished out some fruit and some veggies for a salad. We ordered sandwiches, but the ham inside didn't look fresh, it looked like it spent a day (or several?) in the fridge. And we still had to wait 15-20 min for the check. Nobody smiled and didn't seem to care. Even though it was just across the street from our hotel, we didn't go back there (and won't if we ever go back to Utah). Springdale is much friendlier and has more choices of restaurants and good quality food.

“Just as avaerage as it gets”

Nothing to write home, or anywhere, about.

Typical diner. No frills, no benefits for having eaten here.

“Great food, inconsistent service”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Got into town hot and hungry, and JBs was a walk across the street from our hotel. We both had the salad bar, which included 3 soups, lots of salad fixin's, and fruit. Service was uneven: person who greeted/seated was nice, but we didn't see her again; one server was knowledgeable, but very busy, and a male manager spoke to nearly every customer in a very professional manner. However, the server who tried to ring us up, couldn't, and couldn't even quote the Utah state tax percentage. Food was excellent, and very fresh. I would recommend the restaurant to people with a fair amount of time to spend: we went back to the bar 3 times, but had to wait over 5 minutes to pay; the people behind us had to wait much longer than that.

“Takes a long time to see food...”
Reviewed June 10, 2013 via mobile

Atmosphere is quite basic but nice and clean. The waitress and the cook were friendly and very attentive but we, neither the less, waited for more than half an hour for a simple omelet and 2 very dry salmons. We were in Hurricane fir a single night but would have probably not given a second chance to the JB's.
