“Snowbasin - Great skiing and luxurious lodges”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

If you love to be pampered before, during or after a long day of skiing, this is the place. From the bottom to the top of the mountain, every building here is pretty much over the top in its luxury. Even spending time in the bathroom is pleasurable! The food that is available throughout the resort is top notch although a bit pricey. The roundhouse on top of the mountain is a great place for lunch.

The skiing is great too. There is plenty of variety in the types of runs so everyone in your group can find something that they are comfortable skiing. There are steeps for those who love that and gentle groomers for the more timid.

Unfortunately there is no overnight lodging at the resort, so you do have to start your day off with a drive.

I would definitely recommend this ski area.

“Great steeps but fun groomers”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

I have only skied Alta for 30 years but decided to check Snowbasin out today. While the conditions were lousy, I was amazed by the mountain. Huge bowls, lots of steeps and, unusual for Utah, long runs. There are three lifts which each offer vertical rise of 2500 feet! The Sun Valley glitz doesn't do much for me but I will definitely return for the skiing!

“The ultimate in Luxury”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

his blows Derr Valley away. The day lodge has chandeliers and deep pile carpets. It was so luxouriosEven the lodge on teh mountain was the same. The food at the base in the cafeteria was of top quality butt not cheap. Bad weather when we wre there meant that we only had limited skiing due to high winds but definately a resort that looks interesting in the right conditioons.

“One of the best!!”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

We love this place!! Skiing as it was meant to be....big, bold, open, go anywhere!! This is a well laid out mountain with looooong runs! You can ski it mild or wild. No lines, no crowds (during the week, anyway). It feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. No condos, townhouses, luxury homes. Just beautiful nature and snow!!! As I said...skiing as it was meant to be. Driving on the way to the mountain, we spotted a moose in the wild. That was a great start to a perfect day. This place is my favorite. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone about this gem!!

“One of my favorite skiing resorts”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

We have been coming here for the last few years. I just love the way the hospitality, the way they greet you, the way they prepare the slopes and then lodges where you can rest and have a meal. I usually start with Wildflower Downhill and ski it till afternoon, then lunch in the lodge and then I move to Strawberry and it repeats everyday. Just perfect! I repeat it each time I ski there:) I love that resort and highly recommend it.
