“Worst "Hotel" Ever”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

I don't know where to start with this train wreck of an establishment. When we arrived, the management was in the process of completely changing over after being removed by the home owners association (that was the rumor, at least). This should have been our first clue to leave immediately. The managers were fighting in front of the guests, all the computers were wiped clean (no reservations) and the hotel was being emptied -fridges, safes, plates and all - through the front door. There were cops in the lobby all weekend trying to determine what the hell was going on. We misplaced our key at one point and it took the front desk staff multiple tries to figure out the card-making machine. When that didn't work we were given a master key - and told not to go into anyone else's room. WHAT?!?!?! That should be illegal and probably is. Breakfast was a joke. Multiple cars were broken into in the parking garage. The phones lines were down the entire weekend. We were there for a wedding and the wedding cake disappeared at the end of the night. Basically, find another place to stay. The view is beautiful, but that is the only good thing about this dump. We must have said 100 times, "You know what surprised me about this hotel..." In the end, nothing surprised us, but the fact that we stayed as long as we did.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

We had so much fun at our girls retreat! This was the perfect place! We enjoyed the one night stay so much we did not even need to leave the premises. It is a beautiful location nestled in the mountains between Park City and Heber City. It was fun to see the skiers from the lodge. It could not be a better location to ski, boat, shop, eat, or just have a relaxing time. The hot tub was so inviting. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. We had the kitchen and two bedrooms, three baths. The fireplace took the chill off the air. The beds were all so comfortable. I must also mention the hospitality, Pam made us feel so welcome and excited to have us there.
We also ate at the restaurant on the property, the Pine Cone. Everything looked so delicious, on Stephen the manager of the restaurant, suggestion we had the pizza, yum it was the best we had ever had. We saw many happy clients, hustling around all beaming with the fun day. I will go again, but I would stay longer and try more of the activities located so close. It is a great destination for all times of the year.

We planned a trip to Deer Valley with some friends and they found the Lodge at Stillwater. It was an excellent choice for us. We are a family of four with 2 teens. Our family was looking for a quiet place close to skiing and to enjoy family/friend time. We rented a two bedroom condo and it worked perfectly and you can't beat the price. It is directly across from Jordanelle Express for the avid skier who can work the trails from there. I had to drive to the DV resort because I was taking lessons and not skilled enough for the Jordanelle trails. The Lodge is clean and quiet. We cooked all our own meals so I can not comment on the restaurant. There is nothing nearby so make sure to hit the grocery stores upon arrival. We used the ski rental shop on location and were very pleased. Everything in our unit 1050 - 1054 was in working order and well stocked with kitchen equipment. Highly recommend getting off the beaten path and checking out the Lodge at Stillwater.

We recently stayed at the Lodge at Stillwater for a girls getaway. It was fantastic! First off, it was so easy to get to and in such a beautiful setting. It is only 15 minutes away from Park City and right across (no kidding) from Deer Valley ski resort. When we walked in we noticed first off, the gorgeous spacious lobby and outstanding customer service. Pam was terrific. She helped us get settled and let us know all the amenities available, including the convenient shuttle service, hot tubs and fantastic in house restaurant.

We had a group of 6 and had a 2 room suite which was amazing. Nicely furnished large super clean rooms with the most comfortable king size bed I've ever slept in and a full bath in each room. There was a kitchen/living room in between the 2 bedrooms with a pull out sofa bed, and an additional bathroom off the living space. Perfect for a bunch of girls to get ready in. The living room also had a cozy gas fireplace which made us feel like we were in a home, instead of a room.

The restaurant was a delight. They had a family style table for seating our large group and the pizza was so authentic, hand tossed roasted red pepper. Highly recommend it! We visited the hot tubs at night and really appreciated the heated underground parking, especially in the winter! All in all it was a wonderful place, great value, awesome service and a good time!

I recently visited Stillwater for a weekend stay. I found it to be most delightful. The setting is beautiful. It is convenient for skiing or even shopping at Park City. I was just on a weekend getaway and had a great time. The staff was very kind and helpful. Pam & Steve were good to let us know places we could go and things to do. They went out of their way to make sure our visit was most enjoyable. The lodge is beautiful in decor. The lobby was great too. The rooms were spacious and had everything I needed. They were clean and very comfortable. I loved it!!!

We can over valentines day weekend to enjoy the slopes. When we checked in we were given a room on the first floor. This would not have been a problem, except there was a wedding on the 2nd night and the noise was terrible. They could have done a much better job.

Our hotel room did not have a closet, but rather artwork hooks to hand towels and other items.

The room was missing a trash can as well.

Bad air circulation, hard beds, and need much better sheets.

It is a convenient location to park city and the highway on the plus side

We had a two bathroom suite with fireplace and kitchenette. Very nice. The Lodge is almost directly across from gondola chairlift at Deer Valley. Very convenient for skiers. The lobby includes a ski shop that can outfit any skier. The restaurant/bar is small with limited choices but very accommodating. Since it is outside of Park City there is very little else nearby. The Lodge provides shuttle services to town and slopes. But confirm first. We did have a minor plumbing problem that required three complaints to front desk. Finally tracked down the maintenance staff ourselves and the problem was fixed immediately.
