I couldn't tell you anything about the cleanliness, room or sleep quality but I can tell you that the staff is very rude and incompetant. We called for a reservation at the beginning of May for the Memorial weekend. The person at the desk struggled with my reservation, I asked three times that my rooms were accurate and repeated the credit card number twice. After about 10 minutes on the phone, I believed the transaction was complete. Come to find out that this was far from the truth. We arrived to find that our name had been crossed out of the reservation because the person at the desk failed to take a credit card number down. We were rudely told that without a credit card number, they were unable to hold our room, and that we had not supplied said number. We explained that we had done so twice when the person at the desk argued back that she knew what her job was, that she knew what she was doing and that we were at fault. The person at the desk and the owner had no customer skills at all. If you like being told off by a teenager, you can stay at home with your own.

We arrived late in the evening, with other motels being booked or too expensive. We came upon this small business (15 units I think), stopped and was glad we did. Although the furnishings were somewhat outdated, the room was large and clean. The bedding was not new, but clean and comfortable. There is a nop pet/no smoking policy, which was appreciated by many, as we got the last room. This is a "no frills motel, but you can stay here without worry of safety, bugs, etc., and it's very economical, at $40, compared to other locals over or at $100.
The lady who owns it is a talker and very pleasant.

The Sleepy Hollow was one of those fun discoveries that really add to a travel experience. We were looking for a place to pull off the interstate, catch some sleep and go. But we didn't want the charmless and expensive chain hotels in Green River, Utah -- of which there are half a dozen. Instead, we opted for a retro motel motorcourt place. The Sleepy Hollow had a couple of good reviews, so we took a chance. What a nice surprise. It's totally retro 50s. Very cool if you like that. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was in great shape (a little worn, but what do you expect?). And you couldn't beat the price (39 in mid October, 2009). We had a blast staying there. The manager was friendly and kind. This is a place where you get actualy keys, and you register on a little card. It's a wonderful place in a small town that is a bit down on its luck but is filled with nice people who work hard. If you have to stay in Green River, by all means stay here. Next door is a fun local hangout coffee shop. Oh, and be aware that the local grocery store is closed on Sundays -- a heads up to off-season travelers. Also the hotel closes for the season between November and sometime around Easter.

Stayed here a few years ago when we were visiting Goblin Valley. This place looked like it stepped out of the 1950's. Very well kept, clean rooms, nice management. Highly recommened!

We just finished a road trip through Colorado, Utah & Arizona. We were in Green River one night and needed a place to sleep. This motel fit the bill, and we were pleasantly surprised. Great value for the money. The room was spotless and had a king bed. Service was friendly. There is no internet at the motel, however you can use the service of the Best Western down the road (apparently the two hotels have the same owner). Obviously the motel has a good reputation, as it was full the night we stayed, and lots of chain motels had very few cars in the parking lot. Eat at Ray's Tavern while in Green River, and if melons are in season make sure you stop at one of the many road side stands and treat yourselft to one - tasted like no other melon that you will buy in a grocery store - fantastic.

This is an older motel but is kept very clean. Not real large rooms but we were only stopping over to sleep on the way from Arches Natl Park to Capitol Reef Natl Park. We didn't need anemities only a bed and clean accommodations and this motel filled the bill.
