First of all, we would rate this as a 4.5 hotel. Are you tired of the chain hotels? Want a time alone by the river? Sink your feet into grass? If yes, then you must try this former Best Western. Make sure you get a riverside room. On the lower level, you can walk out your patio door to your own space with 2 chairs. Or you can use the patio furniture in the grass on the hillside by the river. Further on down by the river is a fire pit with some patio chairs for enjoying the serenity of the riverside. The 2 upper floors on the riverside have balconies with chairs to enjoy the river, also. The side opposite the river faces the parking lot. There are several patio areas with furniture and umbrellas throughout the grounds. The hotel has beautiful landscaping with flowers, rocks, waterfalls, and several hummingbird feeders. This hotel just provides a quiet and serene setting to get away from it all. Enjoy the ice cold water in the lobby.

The hotel's covered drive thru area was spic and span. Enter thru manual doors into a spacious lobby with sufficient seating and a fireplace. There was one luggage cart to move your belongings into one of several doors into the hotel. Please note that no elevator was available for any floors. The ground floor is actually down stairs to the lower level that goes outside to the lawn area. Steps are necessary to get to the upper floors. Enjoy the outdoor pool and spa. Use the free Wi-Fi or the computer in the lobby. No fitness center is available. No 24/7 coffee in the lobby. You do have to go outside to go to the lobby and to the breakfast room off the lobby.

We had a spacious and very clean room with 2 comfortable queen beds. Missed having a guest book. Noted right away that the TV was a dinosaur. Did have a decent channel lineup but no clear HD picture. Had one nightstand with a lamp, an extra lamp, a loveseat with a lamp, table with 2 chairs with lights above, desk with arm chair and wall mirror and lamp, 6 drawers for storage, an old style microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and iron and ironing board.

There was a separate prep area with some vanity space and nice mirror outside the bathroom. The bath was spacious, had a nice size vanity and mirror, and a shower/tub combo. Had an exhaust fan and a heat lamp. Good shower pressure.

All we can say about breakfast is "wonderful", "fantastic", "superb"!!! You are given a ticket for the complimentary breakfast when registering. The dining area is rather small with seating for 16; however, there is a patio area with several sets of tables and chairs where you can also enjoy watching the hummingbirds. There is a buffet, but you are to wait to be seated. The waiter comes and tells you what the main entrees are which are made-to-order: French toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs, omelets. The buffet had bacon, sausage patty, bagels, toast, cereals, juices, and several kinds of coffee. Enjoyed eating breakfast with real dinnerware and silverware. Had a TV there, too.

We definitely will return here if ever in the area.

If you can reserve a river view room, this is a good spot. Otherwise, all other rooms are like any other cheap motel and the staff seems unprepared to deal with guests. Lana, the manager was very rude when we made inquiries about incorrect charges and the breakfast "guard" was just weird. It was very crowded at breakfast so we presented our meal ticket and grabbed a banana and coffee and headed back to our room. The "guard" said "that's not allowed!" and tried to stop us from leaving the standing-room only breakfast area! My partner just replied "don't worry, I won't tell anybody." and kept right on walking. I'm not sure these folks are aware of the definition of "hospitality industry".

Room Tip: Get a river view room or don't bother.

A one night stopover after seeing Arches and Canyonlands. We liked the hotel very much, nicer than the previous 2 nights in Tropic and Blanding. We were given a river view room which comes with a balcony. This was good for relaxing on whilst enjoying a drink after a long day. The room was fine and the bed comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant by the hotel which was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast at the hotel was as stated, cooked to order eggs or french toast. The hotel grounds are well kept making the whole stay very pleasant.

This is a great place with old style elegance, real furniture, huge rooms, water fountains indoors and outside, lots of beautiful plant arrangements inside and live plantings with great landscaping outdoors. There are conversation areas on each floor, a nice outdoor pool, various outdoor seating areas including one with a stone fireplace by the river. The family room for 6 of our family is wonderful!

Room Tip: Some rooms have a balcony overlooking the river.

Spent two nights here while visiting Arches/Canyonlands/Deadhorse Point. Our room was perfect. Large room with great furniture, comfy bed, better quality towels in bath. Microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Balcony with table and chairs. The grounds are beautiful. Nice seating for viewing the river. Pool and spa were clean and quite relaxing after a day of viewing/ hiking parks. RIVER / FRONT VIEW TOP FLOOR. Great breakfast included and Carlos will make you feel welcome and cook you an omelet, french toast, biscuits & gravy, etc. The restaurant next to the motel was great as well. Nice to be able to walk there and there is not a whole lot of other dining choices in Green River. (Tamarisk Restaurant. )
