“Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2012

driving in to Green River city of Utah, my heart sunk seeing all the abandoned buildings and I was not looking forward to our hotel. to our surprise we found a little paradise in the middle of a deserted city. The location was fabulous, next to the river, the grounds were spotless along with the outdoor furniture. Our room was very clean, nicely done and our balcony looked out on the river . In the morning we walked down for breakfast and to a second surprise we were able to order anything our heart desired. The service and the food were excellent,. The manager asked us as to where we were going and few minutes later came up with a map and few recommendations about local national and state parks. That's what I called FIRST CLASS SERVICE. I was very disappointed that AAA has given this jam of a hotel only two star..they deserve better than that..We traveled for 10 days and stayed at View Hotel in Monument Valley, paying much much more and the River Terrace by far was the best hotel in our trip.

Room Tip: first floor , looking at the river, the hotel has a beautiful patio setting with beautiful furniture...

Pulling into Green River I wasn't sure what we were going to find. What we found was a wonderful mom and pop motel that I would go back to again. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained, an oasis of green in the midst of the desert. The cooked breakfast that was part of the room price was excellent. If you are on your way to Moab or La's Vegas or Denver it is a great stopping place for the night.

Room Tip: Ask for river view room.

One of the best motels/hotels we have ever visited! Green River is a dusty small town in eastern Utah about 41 miles from Arches and 49 miles from Canyonlands National Parks. We stayed 3 nights.
All employees were outstanding; they truly enjoy their work. The room was large and included 2 queen beds, love seat, large bathroom. There were lots of large, soft bath towels and 2 beach towels for the pool. A balcony overlooked the Green River. The river side of this motel is absolutely beautiful. Deep green grass, lots of flowers, several shade trees, and several hummingbird feeders. A terrific breakfast each morning included omelets, pancakes, french toast, and other meals cooked to order. Many other breakfast foods and drinks available on the self-serve breakfast bar. We paid $115. Compared to chain motels, the River Terrace is remarkable for the price. Quite frankly, the only amenities missing at River Terrace are valet parking and room service.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Green River. Some face the parking lot.

After a days drive from Vegas, with no services for 130 miles we arrived at Green River, with a choice of 5 or 6 places to stay. We chose the River Terrace for its location on the river and the on site restaurant. What a good choice. It seems to be living in the past, but this is part of its charm. Very friendly staff, who spent much time in directing us to places of interest on our route back to Chicago. Very clean. Great breakfast. STAY HERE.

We had a great time and felt blessed to find the River Inn. We enjoyed the lights on the river while enjoying pool and hot tub. The information center is right across the street. We were informed of the Watermelon festival and came back that weekend.

Room Tip: The kitchen has a free breakfast. They make omelets to order with fresh veggies.

this place is a treat-if you're traveling on I70 either way, plan a night at this place-simply the best motel breakfast we're ever had as a bonus to the room and the river view-we ate downtown at Ray's...

Room Tip: ask for the river view on the back side...

We started staying here when it was a Best Western. We love this place! Large spacious room with mini frig and micro. Also a small coffee pot. A table with 2 chairs and a chandelier that hangs above, with a love seat nearby. We had a river view and enjoyed sitting outside watching the sun go down on our own patio with 2 chairs and a small table. If you prefer to sit outside on the grass they have lounge chairs and some kind of fire pit. We have not used the pool as we have had busy days at the local parks, but it looks inviting.
The bathrooms is also large and there are plenty of towels.
We totally love the breakfast. Carlos greets you and tells what's on the menu. Made to order breakfast. Not what you get at the chain hotels.
There is a restaurant next door for dinner at which we have eaten at in the past.
We had spent the day at Canyonland Nat. Park and Dead Horse Pt. State Park and then drove about 60 miles to the River Terrace. I guess Goblin State Park is nearby and also a slot canyon, Wid Horse? Maybe the next time through. It's on my bucket list.
