Authentic, quiet, convenient, and nestled in a garden that's worth a visit in itself, this place offers everything you could want in a B+B. Our room was spotless and cozy, with a spacious and well-appointed bathroom. Chairs and a hammock in the garden provide a nice cool place to relax under the shade of a big tree. The owner cooked us a fantastic breakfast before we departed in the morning, but we would have been happy to stay another night!

My husband and I had never been to Escalante and had a hard time deciding where to stay based on info/pictures from the internet. We decided to go with the reviews, particularly with regard to Cate's exceptional hospitality at the Canyons Bed and Breakfast. We made the right decision. We stayed 2 nights in June. It was such a relaxing place to come back to at the end of a hot day of hiking. The breakfasts were delicious & all the "little things" that make for a pleasant stay were in place. We stayed at another B & B our last night. It was nice too, but Cate's place felt like home away from home!

Cate is a wonderful, warm caring hostess and we loved our room. We only stayed three nights and didn't want to leave. Be sure to try and get the Garden Room, with French doors to your own east facing deck for the morning sun. Be sure to plan to spend a little time relaxing under the beautiful old Apricot tree either on one of the chaise lounges or in the hammock. The rooms were perfectly decorated with top quality linens and bedding and Cate provides a wonderful breakfast. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to have her delicious stuffed French toast! Definitely the best place to stay when visiting Bryce Canyon or the Grand Staircase National Monument.

Room Tip: The Garden room has it's own private balcony - it is a great place for morning coffee.

Cate is a wonderful hostess and we loved our room, even though we only stayed two nights. Be sure to try and get the Garden Room, with French doors to your own east facing deck for the morning sun. Not only are the rooms perfectly decorated with top quality linens and bedding but Cate provides a wonderful breakfast. Definitely the best place to stay when visiting Bryce Canyon, Boulder (Utah) or the Grand Staircase National Monument.

Room Tip: Garden room with your own large deck and lounge chairs to enjoy the morning sun.

We needed just one nights' stay in Escalante, and we were lucky enough that Cate had a room available. We arrived fairly late after quite a long drive, and Cate (and the other guests too!) were very welcoming, and we just loved that our room had our names on the door, such a cute little touch. The grounds and gardens are wonderful and relaxing, and sitting on our porch was such a fantastic and peaceful escape.

Because I was experiencing altitude sickness, I was unable to enjoy Cate's fabulous breakfast, but my boyfriend happily ate both of our portions! He raved about it all day, and I was very disappointed to not have been able to try the homemade stuffed french toast.

The room was very well appointed, and despite being on the "main road" was absolutely quiet and completely private -- just an absolutely perfect respite from our time on the road! Loved our time there!

On our girls trip to Utah we stayed here one night. We both loved it. When we first drove through town and saw the place we were a little worried. But as soon as we saw the front porch area and our cute room we were happy. The room had everything we needed for a nice night stay. But the best thing about the stay was the breakfast! It was soooo good. Wish we would have stayed here longer!! Kate was a great host!!

Room Tip: I bet all are nice.

We stayed at the Canyons B & B for 4 days, and it was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Cate was a tremendous hostess, great cook and really helped us enjoy the Escalante area. We really liked the casual and friendly atmosphere, and we will make it our "home away from home" when ever we visit Escalante in the future. Thanks Cate!!!
