“great food served by great folks”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

Our guided tour of 16 had reservations at Cowboy Blues for our farewell dinner. We had already met Shannon & Jenifer, dining outdoors at their Wild West Retreat. We enjoyed that meal so much we couldn't wait to eat at their restaurant in town. It did not disappoint. Favorites with our group were the trout and steak. The deserts were home-made and delicious. They are gracious hosts and took the time to chat with us when they could. The restaurant was quite busy but we didn't feel neglected. By the way, don't pass up the Margaritas - they were terrific.

“Just so so”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

On holiday and read reviews on TA about the Cowboy Blues. There was nothing particularly exceptional about the food or service, but likewise nothing bad. The waitress took our order, she was polite. She spent most of her time talking to a table of four men across the other side of the room but did check on us once and did refill our water once. The food was served quite quickly and was okay.

It was one of those places that you wouldn't necessarily rush back to and won't really be remembered.

“Eat like the locals in Escalante”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Cowboy Blues is a great local steakhouse in Escalante. Everybody eats here, locals and visitors with great service from Shannon and his crew. Had steaks, potatoes & veggies and one of the best margaritas ever. Just a great local place with great fresh food.

“Great local steakhouse”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Cowboy Blues is our favorite eatery in Escalante. Their baked trout is to die for and the flat iron steak melts in your mouth. The menu is small, but the meals large and it is the only restaurant in town with liquor - others have beer and wine.

“Fresh ans pleasant stay”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We stayed in Cannonville (Grand Staircase). Within 20/30 minutes we drove (4th july) through a beautiful scenery to Escalante. We had a very pleasant stay in Cowboy Blues for dinner. The food was fresh and the salad had a very good taste. The woman who served us was very friendly and advised us by choosing our meal. The final price was quite reasonable.
