We didn't stay at the Bunkhouse but we did have dinner--excellent pizza, beer and wine and had take out sandwiches twice. Can't forget the excellent homemade carrot cake. We were very satisfied. The staff was very friendly. After long days sight seeing and hiking we wouldn't have wanted to go to a formal restaurant--the porch was perfect. Having the death of an 97 year old aunt while we were away and having ATT cell phones that got no reception--Verizon works-- their free computer was a life saver. Dennis, I believe it was, was very helpful in fitting my wife with a good pair of hiking boots--good price. We were please that he didn't push a pricier pair that she didn't need. On leaving, I told them that Pizza and Beer on their sign doesn't tell people that they can have an excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner-- limited to pizza and other similar items. If I returned for a few days and stayed at a motel I would certainly head for the Outfitters for some good breakfasts, take out lunches and great pizza dinners.

We loved the location of esclante outfitters. we camped one night and stayed in a cabin one night. Both were great! I liked the communal fire pit and eating areas to share stories with other campers of the day's adventures. We hiked the slot canyons nearby which was SO FUN! The food and latte's here were GREAT! I would definitely stay here again

This time we launched an inflated kayak trip on the Escalante River from the Outfitters by spending the night, great beds, and using their outdoor lawn area to organize are food and equipment. As usual, Steve, Dennis, and Dana were on hand to welcome and answer questions as well as their son, Nate or river conditions. The food is great, famous for their pizza, expressos. Their hospitality extends out to everyone. Great clothes and supplies in the store. Nate is doing fishing and horse outfitting and guiding as well and has a strong knowledge of the area.
I stayed there 5 days with the Great Old Broads Anniversary Reunion last fall also. Superb food for 70 of us, we couldn't have been better accommodated in a great, old town feel and the canyons to surround us. The Best! Karen

We loved this place!
Stayed in one of the cabins. Clean, new mattresses (suggested by a review on Tripadvisor apparently)
Dennis and Dana (owners) couldn't have been more helpful and personable.
Food was excellent and the other people staying there were all outgoing, outdoorsy, some gave us their ice and food they didn't need as they were leaving for a float trip. Really wonderful vibes here. Clean, neat and the cabins were very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend this to friends and will stay there again for sure. Also you can set up fishing trips to nearly high lakes.
