“Best Place for Fishing and Hunting!”

This is a very good Lodge to go to for anything to do with the outdoors. They have friendly staff and Management. The food is good but the beer could be better. They have some nice cabins and 2 small lakes. The wildlife is everywhere. I would recommended this to anyone that goes to Flaming Gorge part of Utah.

Fun cabins. The alpine cabins have a nice set-up. Kitchenette: Microwave, coffee maker. Not much else. No sink, no utensils, no dishware. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to know in advance. Nice bathroom with shower, sink, toilet. Quiet & beautiful. Fire ring with wood provided. If you want to be outdoors without sleeping on the ground- this is the place. Did not like the food at the lodge. They need to make home cooked food. They try to hard to make it upscale. Some things had absolutely NO flavor. Some overcooked. Bring your own utensils/dinnerware. We had milk & cereal, but found no bowls/spoons. Stuck eating the tasteless food. Plan ahead.

I have stayed at Red Canyon Lodge each of the last 13 years, and found it to be the best choice in all categories in the area. The rooms are more than adequate, exceptionally clean, and provide a beautiful sunrise view each morning. The on site restaurant has a wonderful choice of entrees and a superb chef to prepare them. The Green River in Flaming Gorge provides the most scenic and productive fly fishing in the lower 48 states, and is only a 20 minute drive from the Lodge.

Only able to stay 2 nights because we booked too late. Wish we had been able to stay longer. Next year we will be sure to book early. Great place for kids, and the fishing in the lake was very good. The restaurant and food were outstanding. We have recommended it to several of our friends.

We recently stayed a few nights in the Cabins. It is just a short drive from Dutch John and has onsite fishing and horseback riding. We ran the Green River and relaxed. We also took advantage of the kiddie fishing pond where my son caught his first fish on a fly rod. My only regret was not staying a few more nights.

We stayed one night in a Alpine Cabin while passing through on a motorcycle tour. Our only regret was that this wasn't one of our main stays. This place is a true "gem". The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The Restaurant was also outstanding. The entire Staff went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The food was excellent! This place is so peaceful - you wont want to leave. We will be back and next time we will stay awhile.
Thank you Red Canyon Lodge for being a highlight of our vacation!

Room Tip: All seem to be nice - you cant go wrong with any choice.

The motorcycle tourists sometimes miss us on their treks through Flaming Gorge. We are glad you stopped in if just for one night. We hope you can stay with us longer next time!

We have been staying at the Red Canyon Lodge coming up on 5 years now. I grew up having the same annual family vacation (in a different state) and feel it's important that my son has that same experience/memory. I'm happy to say RCL is that place for us! It's something we look forward to all year. We spend the early morning to mid afternoon on the Gorge with our boat and then back to the lodge, where my husband heads to the green for some fly fishing and my son and I ride our bikes. We have stayed in both the Alpine cabins and the Ponderosa cabins and find the Alpine cabins to be perfect for our family of three. I love the fact that we DON'T have strong cell service and WiFi in the cabins (you can get WiFi at the restaurant). There is ample porch space for enjoying wildlife viewing and relaxing with a book. It's also nice being able to just walk over to the restaurant for a good meal, where everyone on staff makes you feel like your part of the RCL family! We're looking forward to our 5th visit in 3 days!
