“No snow but still worth the trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2007

We went to Duck Creek in early April expecting to find sufficient snow so that we could rent a snowmobile. They have snowmobiles in Winter and ATVs in Summer. Unfortunately for us they had had a heat wave and all the snow had melted.

We called at the Pinewoods Resort Coffee and Internet Cafe (take your own laptop) as we had been told at the Kanab Visitor Centre that the coffee was excellent. They were right. We went back again later for another coffee and lunch - the food was excellent.

We asked if there were any nice walks in the area and were advised to go to Aspen Mirror Lake, just outside the village. It is a small but very pretty lake with a path around it. We used a set of stepping stones (not official stepping stones but they did the job) to make it a short circular walk.

We then headed back to Duck Creek for lunch and found two very nice home furnishing/gift shops, Wildflowers and Rustic Comforts. Both well worth a visit if you are in the area.
