We've stated at this hotel several times in the past but will definitely consider looking elsewhere on our next trip. This hotel is showing the signs of wear and tear and seems to be moving toward its "best before date." In the room we occupied, the lighting above the sink timed out after about 5 minutes and then would only come back on after 5 to 10 minutes. Somewhat difficult to shave and apply makeup in 5 minutes. The continential breakfast was okay, but the coffee was more like colored water than real coffee.

This was my fifth (5th) straight year I've stayed at this hotel in January. It is convenient to skiing, shopping, restaurants and the whole Salt Lake Area. The accomodations were very comfortable, room exceptionally clean, service excellent and the pool area was an added plus. One of my sons lives nearby in Herriman, Utah and he, his wife and my granddaughters love to spend time with me at the pool, especially after a day of skiing. I recommend this hotel to everyone and the price was pretty good ( I paid an average of $119 per night for 5 nights). Will stay here again on my next trip to Utah.

Room Tip: Lower floor has better access to pool area.

Stayed here two nights on a business trip to Salt Lake. Great for this kind of thing. Clean tidy room, free internet and parking. Free Breakfast on site too. Efficient check in and check out.

Bed wasn't quite a comfy as other Marriotts.

Room Tip: There is construction of new hotel next door. No night noise but worth mentioning if you want to sl...

We arrived to find no reservation on file, in the end I think I made the mistake online but the clerk happily checked us in quickly with no issues. I asked for a crib for my little one, but she said she was the only one working and would bring it later. We met some people we knew for dinner and went back to the room. It was almost 10 and still no crib! We called again and still ended up waiting about 30 minutes for it to be delivered down the hall! The breakfast was excellent. The lady attending the area was very conscientious about keeping it clean, to the point that she made the waffles for you so you didn't make a mess! But she was very helpful and nice especially with 3 kids getting breakfast.

Stayed here two nights for a business trip. Facility was clean, free breakfast was fine, checkin was quick. My only gripe was the squeaky floor above me. My bad luck to be below a guest who like to pace the floors at midnight. However to be fair, my co-worked said his room was very quiet. so, in all liklehood you will have a fine stay here.

I spent over a week this spring in a two double-beds room at the Fairfield Inn in Draper, paying $80 per night at a long-term stay rate.
This is a very nice small hotel. I’d be sure to consider staying here again on a future visit to the area.

Pros
- housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room exceptionally clean

- room was well-kitted out with microwave, largeish mini-fridge, ironing board

- wireless internet included in the room rate

- parking included

- coin-operated washer and dryer on the premises (and reasonably priced!)

- very comfortable bed

- quiet at night

- great shower pressure

- swimming pool seemed popular with the kids (I didn’t have time to try it out, but could hear the squeals of joy as I walked past, coming and going to my room)

- reception staff pleasant and efficient

- beautiful views of the hills all around the hotel (but that’s Draper for you)

- plenty of fast-food restaurants nearby (In-N-Out practically next door, but another dozen or more places within walking or easy driving distance), as well as supermarket, and several small malls (eg office supplies store)

- public transit bus stops near the hotel entrance (although probably all the hotel’s guests have their own cars)

Cons
- there is a large construction project underway at the adjacent property on the north side of the hotel -- this was not mentioned on the hotel website (hotels should ALWAYS mention construction or ongoing renovation projects on their websites!); the desk staff, however, when they saw that I was staying for several days, assigned me to a room on the opposite side of the hotel (another plus for the staff) -- I didn’t hear any noise from the construction during my stay

- the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests, and the breakfast fare selection, while adequate, was somewhat underwhelming

- hotel has no elevator for second floor access (probably not really an issue for anyone, as the staff can assign those who can’t handle stairs to a room on the ground floor)

- as I recall, there was no safe in the room (not that the room was advertised to have a safe; but I think most travelers do appreciate having the option of using a safe in the room rather than having to take valuables to the front desk for safekeeping)
