Foster's is no more. Sold to new owners and renamed Up Top Family Steakhouse. If you're looking for it, the signage just says Family Steakhouse (with the Foster's kind of painted over). A little confusing as we were looking for Foster's. When we visited there were not a lot customers for dinner which is too bad. The decor is clean and welcoming. The food was better than we had expected. The service, well more on that in a minute.

We ordered a ribeye for me and wife had beer battered shrimp. Both had fries. Total for the two of us (water only) was $38.17 and one of the cheaper dinners on our National Park trip. The steak was large (14 oz) and cooked perfectly to medium rare. The shrimp was good, not great (hey it's not near any ocean). Fries were plentiful and good. No bread was offered. None needed as the portions are large.

Now to the service. So as to not distract from the dining experience, the wait staff (or at let our waitress) could stand a little bit more training. We cringed a bit as she explained to the table behind us (obviously friends) that she was experiencing nose bleeds (not kidding) which explained the sniffling going on. Also heard the full story on how it runs in the family and other personal discussions. Not to mention she was invited to try one of the desserts she served the other couple and did. A little bit too informal and personal. Kind of took away from the dining experience which is why I rate this average as opposed to above average.

We were not expecting too much from this restaurant based on other reviews but were pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive and helpful and the steaks were excellent quality and cooked just as requested. Good selection of bottled beers although no tap beers available yet as the restaurant has recently changed hands and is still not quite completed. Clean, bright and obviously recently redecorated. I would recommend this place for a reasonably priced good quality meal.

We’ve had a great burger here. The place is completely new, and looks a lot more industrial. The staff however misses to welcome all visitors, so some of them just left after waiting a few minutes.

The food was definitely from a microwaved hungry man dinner! Was not good at all. It has a very weird vibe with no music. There are few options here but such a waste of money.

We went to this restaurant because it got the best reviews of all the 3.5 star reviews in the area. There is a lack of competition as Ruby’s has a monopoly outside Bryce Canyon. We arrived at 6:00 on a Sunday and were told it would be 30-45 minutes. We waited about 48 minutes, but the waiter did. It come to our table for 10 minutes. When he came, we ordered right away and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The steaks were good and the sides were tasty. However, my husband’s food was not hot. Mine was, but since I ordered mine less well done, it was thicker than his.

Overall, our waiter was friendly, and the food was good, but I would not rave about it.
