We booked here to be really handy for sunrise and sunset in the park, and although we didn't see these, it was still a good choice. Our room was in a separate cottage, the bed was very comfy and had a great view in the morning. We had dinner and breakfast in the adjoining restaurant and apart from having to wait a little for dinner, the food was good and the servers very friendly and helpful. When we checked in, we were told we could still see a bit of Bryce Canyon if we got the free road train from Ruby's as they have private access to part of the rim, which made our stay despite the Federal Shutdown. We would certainly stay again when we return to see Bryce open!

This was a very nice, clean and well-managed motel close to Bryce Canyon National Park. The price is a good value compared to the nearby competition. We definitely would stay at the Bryce Canyon Pines again.

The room was pretty average. There were no other choices to stay around Bryce. There's nothing around the actual hotel. I do have to give a great recommendation for the restaraunt though. The best patty-melt ever and great breakfast too.

We just finished a tour across southern Utah, with visits to 6 national parks, and I have to say that Bryce Canyon felt really stuck-in-the-1970's. Not exactly "retro" because it's actually the real thing...still there. The Pines is a solid option for clean, comfortable lodging. Nothing fancy, but a big king bed with lots of pillows and an updated bathroom made for a good stay. We were in a separate cabin - #132 - which turned out to be plumbed backwards. Maybe that's where "Pittsburgh_Pam" was (see review), but we finally figured out that "hot" was cold water and "cold" was hot, after wasting gallons of water in the desert! The front desk folks didn't tell us when we checked in, but when we reported it on the way out, they knew about it.

Black flies were a problem this time of year, so we asked for fly swatters at the front desk and waged our own war. We kilt them all!

I liked being a few miles outside the tourist trap part of the park. It was quiet at night, and we had a view of the meadow with all the horses grazing. Very western!

This is a quaint, almost a retro motel.

The bed is comfortable and the newly remodeled bathroom very nice. Both very important components!

Would certainly have given more stars, but for two problems.

The dead bolt did not work at all, so could not secure the room safely

Also, in the morning there was NO hot water. No mater how long we let the spigot run, it was cold. Luckily, we had taken showers the night before. So only had to wash faces with the very cold water. Taking a shower would have been impossible!

These problems may have been limited to just our cabin. At least when we reported them, they did not say they were aware of a water problem, However, we do not think that the dead bolt worked for some time

Not much in this area, but Bryce Canyon Pines was convenient and the family room with its 3 bedrooms and 2 baths was perfect for my family. The biggest problem we had in this area was dining - not very many options and all very crowded. We were never able to eat at the restaurant at the hotel due to long wait.

About 6 miles outside the park with the rooms spread out over a small area around the main reception and a separate restaurant. There's also a pool and hot tub but we didn't use them due to the weather while we were there. The building looks very new though so I would think it's quite good inside. We were in room 101, the furthest away from the reception, and I think because of that we couldn't get the promised WIFI. The room was very pleasant although the shower head seems to have been set up for people below 5 feet high and for some strange reason they use nylon sheets on the bed which felt like sleeping on plastic. The restaurant serves mainly steak in many different forms and very little else.
