Hubby and I stayed here for 2 nights in early October 2012. The motel is showing its age in many ways and is in need of updating. We stayed in a double queen room and the mattresses were old and springy; sheets were so thin you could almost see through them. The room was dark and fairly small. The property is right next to the road and therefore noisy from the many trucks, cars, campers, etc. going past it. The shower head only allowed for a trickle making a shower very difficult. No coffee in the room - and they ran out of coffee in the lobby in the morning. They had placed a housekeeping envelope in the room; printed on the envelope were instructions to place the tip in it, seal it, and bring to the front desk! The place was clean, however. The restaurant has good pies, but the rest of the food is average/below average. Do not recommend this place.

While this isn't a high end resort, it is a nice place. The outside pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are clean, the location is nice, the staff is helpful and the restaurant is good. We stayed here as a starting point for an adventure ride and we had excellent dirt bike riding from the location.

This place was old but well kept. We stayed one night on our way to Bryce Canyon and it had hot water and a clean room. We did not try the food because we got there too late. I'd recommend it unless you're looking for something fancy. Its pretty close to the canyon too.

Room Tip: Book Early! There are very few hotels in the region so don't wait. We did our reservations 9 mon...

We just stayed at the Bryce Canyon Pines. It was just like others have commented on Trip Advisor. Don't be alarmed when your nav. system can't find Bryce, Ut, I understand none of them do - just do it the old way - use a map or use the internet at mapquest and it will take you right there. Very easy to find as it is on the main road just before the main road into Bryce Canyon. Staff was so nice and helpful. The restraunt on the property was outstanding breakfast and great prices. Takes you back in time! Room was very clean, neat and quiet. Was going to stay at Bryce Canyon Lodge until I read on Trip Advisor about mice in the rooms! They were correct as I called the Lodge to confirm - and they did say there was a mice problem - We were so glad we chose Bryce Canyon Pines. It's only about 10 minutes into the park. Thanks Trip Advisor for your services - I'm a loyal follower.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with any of the rooms. Food is great

I agree with the other reviewers who say that from the outside this property looks old and worn. But our room was very comfortable, and for the price, we were just as glad not to have gotten reservations at the lodge in the park (nice though it was). This family-owned property had a good restaurant on the premises, and they specialize in soups and pies. Try the coconut cream pie, outstanding! There aren't a whole lot of hotel options near Bryce and we were very happy with our stay here. Just don't expect a luxury hotel - we were there for the park and hiking and everything turned out great.

Arrived in Bryce for a two-night stay. Fully expected that this would be my least favorite hotel out of the 7 I had reserved for a 2-week tour of the desert southwest. Boy was I wrong! One of the nicest!! The outside of the motel is very misleading. We were scared to open our door, but fell on the bed laughing when we saw just how gorgeous our room was. Beautiful bedding, very pretty decor, and a bathroom unlike any other...very spacious with a large walk-in tiled shower. Bed very comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful, with very nice pool and hot tub area. Would stay here again, and only here. Not a far drive at all to Bryce, and away from the craziness of Ruby's, which is nothing but a bus depot!!! Ask for Room 102.....

We picked this motel due to location (short distance from Bryce) but not too crowded with tour groups, availability and moderate cost (considering it's high season the end of September). As other reviewers have commented, this is an older property in a complex and run by the same family as the original owner. We had a nice 2-night stay and appreciated how close it was to Bryce Canyon (photographer husband wanted to get sunrise and sunset shots)\. We couldn't get the heat to come on (upstairs room in the building attached to the restaurant) but it really wasn't a problem--I might not have let it run long enough. Location was quiet and parking was closeby. Normally, I would rate this motel 3 stars but the restaurant's proximity and good, basic fare and excellent pies made it a good choice. We had two comfortable queen-sized beds and linens were quaint country fresh--only used one bed which was comfortable (4 pillows on each bed). Ice and coffee were available at the lobby a short walk away. We also used the small laundromat located in the gas station/jiffy stop building a 30-second ride down the road.

Room Tip: We were satisfied with the size of the room, cleanliness (though older), tub and bathroom--3 stars...
