If you're traveling with (or without) a family this is the ideal place to stay and visit Bryce National Park. The house is impeccably clean and has lots of features to make you feel right at home. First of all, you can see the pride in construction details, nothing says that the owner/contractor took short cuts. The inside is spacious, clean and decorated beautifully. The backyard is lovely with a patio, BBQ, and green grass (this is nice for those of us from San Diego where everything is brown). There is an awesome jungle gym and playhouse for the kiddos.
Upon arrival we were greeted by 3 kitties. They were not annoying at all - even though we left the door open they didn't try to come in. I called the owners to make sure they weren't abandoned and they told me that they take care of them via an auto-feeder. The kitties keep the rodent population down and are fun to have around. We loved waking up in the morning to 2 turkey hens that wandered around the yard and were pleasantly surprised at the four deer that showed up early in the morning and in the evening to enjoy munching on the landscaping.
If you're looking for a place to spread out - this is it! The wifi service was awesome. The kitchen is fully stocked and the entrance to the park is a short 1 mile away. The ONLY thing I would say is that if you plan to cook while staying here - be sure to shop for groceries BEFORE you get to Bryce. Although there is a store 1/2 mile away, it is very pricey and has a limited inventory. We found a much better selection 6 miles away in the town of Tropic but I'd check on their inventory if your visit is during winter months.
We had a couple of calls with the owners while we were there and they were responsive and really cared that we were enjoying our stay..which we did. I'd recommend this property - we'll likely book again in the future as we found Bryce to be an extraordinary park to visit.
