Chef Hai's restaurant is unlike anything you have likely been to. First of all, there is no menu. When you walk in to the restaurant Chef Hai will ask you what your allergies are and what you would like to eat. In our group of four we had one Celiac Disease (needs gluten-free), one fish-hater, one who wanted something Thai and one who wanted Stir Fry. He served us family style and we all had each of the different meals. We had a delicious Thai Chicken with a lot of vegetables and a light, not-to-sweet coconut sauce, beef and broccoli stir fry, broiled salmon (better than anything I have had in Alaska) with a mango sauce and chicken butternut squash curry. He served it all with a delicious viet namese purple rice blend which you can buy at the restaurant by the bag. Did I mention dessert? A pumpkin cheesecake that was DIVINE. Not to mention the flourless chocolate cupcakes. The entire meal was gluten-free. Chef Hai works hard to have little to know cross-contamination with his gluten free products.
Chef Hai is very concerned about nutrition and healthy food. He not only serves delicious home-made food right before your eyes but it is all nutritious. He is also a local-vore and gets a lot of his menu items locally. He cooks what is in season and what he has available. It is definitely worth your time.
