Chef Hai's restaurant is unlike anything you have likely been to. First of all, there is no menu. When you walk in to the restaurant Chef Hai will ask you what your allergies are and what you would like to eat. In our group of four we had one Celiac Disease (needs gluten-free), one fish-hater, one who wanted something Thai and one who wanted Stir Fry. He served us family style and we all had each of the different meals. We had a delicious Thai Chicken with a lot of vegetables and a light, not-to-sweet coconut sauce, beef and broccoli stir fry, broiled salmon (better than anything I have had in Alaska) with a mango sauce and chicken butternut squash curry. He served it all with a delicious viet namese purple rice blend which you can buy at the restaurant by the bag. Did I mention dessert? A pumpkin cheesecake that was DIVINE. Not to mention the flourless chocolate cupcakes. The entire meal was gluten-free. Chef Hai works hard to have little to know cross-contamination with his gluten free products.

Chef Hai is very concerned about nutrition and healthy food. He not only serves delicious home-made food right before your eyes but it is all nutritious. He is also a local-vore and gets a lot of his menu items locally. He cooks what is in season and what he has available. It is definitely worth your time.

Chef Hy has a touch with food that is not only delicious but healthy. Great gluten free options. Great food at a reasonable price.

Our family came here to celebrate a special occasion and it was interesting. We were all starving so coming here was probably a mistake. Apparently this place is pretty exclusive and you come by invitation or reservation only. Well we thought we had a reservation for early evening (4:00) but when we got there the chef said nothing was preped so it will be a while before their ready. We waited another hour. Timing was our mistake so make sure you are on the same page when you arrive.
The food was WONDERFUL! It was all super fresh, hence the herbs growing out front of the store. It was served family style, large serving platters to fill our own plates from. Apparently the food is all gluten free too.

Lots of people love this place, but I can't deny the terrible experience we had here. The place was packed and we ending up getting a seat at the "chef's table" which is right in front of the cooking area. This was probably the mistake. The friends that we were with own their own cafe, and they indicated there were incredible amounts of health code violations going on in front of us. Ants on the floor, the chef was throwing people rolls, which everyone thought was great, cross contamination issues all over the place. The food was actually good, but none of us could finish our meals based on what we saw in front of us. During one point in the meal the chef hoisted a whole pig onto the table in front of us and started carving. My wife about lost her appetite.

Hai is a master chef. don't expect a menu here. he will ask you what you want to eat what you'd like to eat. Fish, poultry, steak, seafood. He will tell you what he has fresh and you get a wholesome meal, good for you. client had a prime steak, he said it was fabulous. I had a salmon. Flawless. you will go back, but understand he is a one man super show with no staff. Be patient and enjoy your dining experience!
