The strawberry-rhubarb pie was AMAZING!! And, the crust was decorated with a skull and crossbones so ya gotta love that. We had ours with ice cream but the pie would have been delicious either way. The Burr Trail Trading Post and Grill is located at the West end of the Scenic Burr Trail. But, wherever you are, JUST GO!

We just chanced upon the Burr Trail Grill and are we glad we stopped! Their hamburgers are absolutely wonderful. Great selection of beers to go with them. And the most beautiful homebaked pies. Be sure and try the Spiced Cherry pie ... heavenly.

There are few restaurant choices in Boulder, UT, but that didn't keep Burr Trail Grill from offering good food and service at reasonable prices. This place is nothing fancy, just a basic diner with table service. Our server was cheerful and helpful. Even though the place was packed, the service was reasonably quick. We tried a Reuben sandwich and it was quite good, so much so that we ended up recommending it to people sitting at a nearby table. Though we resisted ordering a piece, I noticed they had a large assortment of pies. We would certainly visit again.

We stopped by for lunch this weekend while on a ride over Hell's Backbone. This has been a favorite of ours for years. We love stopping in for a slice of homemade pie.

This time we tried their burgers, which are great! Kind of a gourmet selection. We had the Fried Tomatos for an appetizer. They were great! They had their homemade chili sauce on them, and it was to die for.

They are kind of slow, but enjoy the time to people watch in this tiny restaurant. This is a great stop for tourists.

What a great restaurant! Luckily, this restaurant was recommended to us. The food is great and the peaceful atmosphere is even better. Be sure to have a piece of pie, and also check out the Burr Trial while there, it is worth the drive!
