There are few restaurant choices in Boulder, UT, but that didn't keep Burr Trail Grill from offering good food and service at reasonable prices. This place is nothing fancy, just a basic diner with table service. Our server was cheerful and helpful. Even though the place was packed, the service was reasonably quick. We tried a Reuben sandwich and it was quite good, so much so that we ended up recommending it to people sitting at a nearby table. Though we resisted ordering a piece, I noticed they had a large assortment of pies. We would certainly visit again.

We stopped by for lunch this weekend while on a ride over Hell's Backbone. This has been a favorite of ours for years. We love stopping in for a slice of homemade pie.

This time we tried their burgers, which are great! Kind of a gourmet selection. We had the Fried Tomatos for an appetizer. They were great! They had their homemade chili sauce on them, and it was to die for.

They are kind of slow, but enjoy the time to people watch in this tiny restaurant. This is a great stop for tourists.

What a great restaurant! Luckily, this restaurant was recommended to us. The food is great and the peaceful atmosphere is even better. Be sure to have a piece of pie, and also check out the Burr Trial while there, it is worth the drive!

I’m a local, I often eat at the Burr Trail Grill, and I always enjoy it. The owners are young, hard working, extremely talented, yet humble. The staff is bright, aware, caring. The food is prepared with flair and sophistication. It's unfailingly delicious and healthy. The prices are reasonable considering Boulder's extremely remote location. And the vibe at this unique restaurant is soothing yet stimulating. Another local said, "This place would be popular in Greenwich Village." I agree. Don't pass through Boulder, Utah, without stopping for lunch or dinner—preferably both—at the Burr Trail Grill.

We've eaten here three times during our stay in Boulder, once for just a piece of superb home made pie with an excellent crust. Another time for lunch ( we had the hamburger and lamb burger, which were both excellent, and once for dinner when we had the chicken enchilada and the braised pork shoulder (cooked for 12 hours until it fell off the bone). It was all really good, and completely unexpected. People come to Boulder to eat at the Hell's Backbone Grill, which is good, and we ate there too, but this really is a gem in the wilderness. Service can be slow, but it's worth it.
