Spend some time and check out all the exhibits, most are outside. They also have a short video on the history of the area. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable

Start by watching the short movie. Very interesting. Then the outside museum really shows how people lived in those years. Nice display

Owned by the Mormons this has a fabulous and very informative visitor centre/gift shop, where we spent ages looking round and talking to the helpers. Gave us a great understanding of the early settlers to the town.

The tour of the fort is self-guided. There are around 15 cabins, one original and the others really impressive new builds made to look old. You could listen to fascinating commentaries in different languages in each cabin. Artefacts had been placed in many of the cabins by descendants of the family represented. Just hope the guy we saw stealing things at Hovenweep didn’t visit; he’d have had a field day!

An amazing site and quite educational. The gift shop has unique items and hand made Navajo gifts. Loved it.

So there is no confusion, Bluff Fort Historic Site is located on the highway between Monument Valley and Monticello, Utah. A very convenient stop. We welcome all visitors.
