Best part is the local musicians that show up to play while you eat. Plenty of chow. Worth the drive. Beautiful venue at sunset.

“Fun, Lively, Robust”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2012

This is a local phenomena even tho' it caters to tourists as well. Rustic, the buffet has a bit of everything from the classic grill to really good salmon/salads etc. if you are vegetarian. The back porch usually features local bands like the TumbleWeedz and others - conviviality and good music combined with pretty good hearty food make it a neat experience.

“The true meaning of Southwest Eating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2011

This restaurant is open during the season only - and only on Friday and Saturday nights - and it can easily be packed - its a buffet style all you can eat - and there is plenty of fixings to be had by all - outdoor barbeque briskets to die for - home made deserts - and plenty of fresh salads and other southwest style salads - guarantee no one goes home hungry - there are some nights where they will have a local band play as well.

For those tourists and savy travellers who do not want to be in a busy city environment with lots of waiting time to be seated - this is the place to go - or if you are staying somewhere local - you can go to the Escalante Corner Mart on Ethan Allan in Big Water and pick up basic supplies for your own dinner - or you can drive another 5 miles from the city center to Greenehaven on Lakeshore Drive off of Highway 89 where they have a deli sandwich shop and lots of other salads and go back and enjoy the stars.
