These odd shaped rocks are a nice quick drive either by themselves or while on the way or way back from exploring the Wahweap Hoodoos.

“A fun place for a hike”
Reviewed November 14, 2011

It was a cool overcast morning in May when we began our hike to “Toadstools” (a.k.a. Rimrocks) off Rt 89 between MM 19 and 20. This was an easy hike to an area of interesting rock formations many resembling mushrooms. Wildflowers were blooming in the area. A few miles down the road near Churchwells around MM 13 a dirt road lead to an area known as the White Rocks. We went through a fence and followed a trail that looked like an old rancher’s road being careful to avoid the occasional cow flop. The area is very exposed and would be very hot in the summer. The rock formations here were quite beautiful. Both places are worth a few hours of exploration.

“Wonderful Place”
Reviewed November 12, 2011

These are some amazing rock formations just a short hike in from Highway 89. We were fortunate to have this wonderful place to ourselves the day we were there and it was not only beautiful and unworldly but completely silent.

“Fascinating Place Like Being on Mars”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

Great place to roam around and spend an afternoon. You have to see it to really appreciated the rock formations. If you need information on the area go to the Paria Contact Station which is only ope mid March through November. Take your time and a camera and enjoy the area. The hoodoos are really amazing.
