“Nature”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

For us this tour company was a perfect fit. The guides saw and felt nature the way we did. We did the complete journey, North and South Coyote Buttes and the White Pockets. It is the journey to these places which is the key. The guides of the Paria Outpost provided this.
If you want an outfit which gives you the chance to be part of nature, then this is the company for you. The next time we plan on using them for explorations of the Paria Wilderness

“A lifetime memory”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Our day tour of South Coyote Buttes will be a lifetime memory for us. This area is truly spectacular and we feel privileged to have been able to see it. We chose Paria Outpost as our tour company and are so happy we did. Our guide Dallas made this a very special day for us. He was attentive and shared with us all of his special places in both Cottonwood Cove and Whitepockets. We were not rushed and were allowed to take things at our own pace. It is obvious that Dallas loves both his work and the whole area. We highly recommend a tour with Paria Outpost and feel that you will miss out on a lot if you choose to attempt it yourself without a guide.

“Exceptional experience!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We can't say enough good about this company! We are iust back tonight from an exceptional trip to South Coyote Buttes and White Pocket after staying in the B&B room last night. EVERYthing about our experience was satisfying and exceptional...the simple, WARM room (after some cool camping), hearty breakfast and lunch, and the long day visting spectacular, remote geologic wonders. Both Susan and Steve were attentive to our interests and needs and were very helpful in making arrangements and offering recommendations for other activities in the area. We learned quite a bit about 4WD travel in and out of the canyon. The geologic wonders are well worth the drive and Steve and Susan made the day SO interesting and enjoyable. They both really know their stuff about backcoutnry travel and the history, geography, and geology of the sites they take customers to...and they are so interesting to talk with. They seem to tune into a customer's interests, and respectfully adapt their offerings accordingly. We highly recommend Paria Outfitters and expect to use them again soon!

“Best Photography Guides for Vermillion Cliffs and the Grand Staircase”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

Paria Outpost and Outfitters knows the surrounding countryside intimately and can take you to undiscovered gems! We have used their services three times, and each trip has been exceptional. Not only are Steve and Susan great people to know, they take all of the worry out of maneuvering the deep sandy roads that this area is known for!

On our first trip with Paria Outpost and Outfitters, we stayed overnight at White Pocket, then took in South Coyote Buttes the second day. The scenery could not have been more extraordinary. Steve helped us find the best locations for capturing a beautiful sunset and sunrise at White Pocket, then stayed at South Coyote Buttes long enough to capture sunset shots there as well.

On our latest trip in September, we ventured out to see three little-known locations on the Vermillion Cliffs plateau. We photographed an Anasazi granary, complete with shards of pottery, a now closed ranch backed by orange and rust tinted Navajo sandstone and a plateau that was much like, yet much larger than, White Pocket. Every stop was a winner.

We look forward to going out with Paria Outpost and Outfitters again and again!

“Great Experience at White Pocket”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

My wife and I were thrilled with our experience with Paria Outpost and Outfitters. This is a small, family business that provides an intimate and well-thought experience for those needing a guide. The Dodsons are great people. Steve provided perfect guidance through the best spots to see at White Pocket. He really knew the place forward and back -- putting us in perfect positions for great pictures and views. The road to White Pocket was treacherous and not for the novice 4-wheeler (like me). Steve handled it like a real pro and provided great conversation the whole way. They packed us a nice lunch with plenty of cold drinks. It was a top-notch experience with people who love the land and know their stuff.
