Got a daily deal coupon to try this little restaurant out. The few reviews we saw said it was good. It was better than good!
The chips and hot sauce were homemade and there was seasoning at the table to sprinkle on them. Very West Texas to have seasoning at table.
I tried a plate with a chili relleno, cheese enchilada, a taco, beans and rice. Every bit of it was great. This had to be the best relleno I have ever had. The enchilada sauce was also delicious and the beef in the taco was seasoned perfectly. Beans were refried and good to the last bite. Normally rice is either too dry or overly mixed with other ingredients to mask something. Not here. It was perfectly cooked, lite and fluffy.
We discussed who we will be bringing here when they come to visit, it was so good.
The restaurant is in this little strip center on the access road to the highway. Don't judge it by the outside. The decor inside is simple, but tasteful and not overdone like so many Mexican fare restaurants. Wait staff was very accommodating with our family needs and requests for changes to the menu.
Everything we had was made fresh, not from a food service or frozen.
Prices were very reasonable and with the coupon our family ate for under $10 before tip.
We highly recommend you check this little hidden treasure out if you want great food.
