Easy location and the food is good. Service is good too. Breakfast menu looked good, but, we were there for a quick lunch.

This was a great find four our weekend getaway. We had breakfast before our day started and the waitress was super friendly. Food was good (I had the garden omelet) and this just felt like a place where the locals would hang out too.

Chicken fried steak is very good, and the home made desserts are great. Good place for a lunch meeting or a coffee break with friends. The menu has nice variety with good salads and the 5-star chicken fried steak. Open 3 meals a day.

There are not too many restaurants in the quaint little town of Wimberley and this one is located prominently on the “square”. Actually it is more of the proverbial wide spot in the road where the traffic winds its way through the middle of a cluster of restaurants and overpriced tourist shops as well. Even the locals will tell you that they shop elsewhere.
Very old school café in appearance with lime sherbet colored walls and plastic covered chairs and tables. Perfect for a wet swim suit. There is a central bar area where the food is conveyed from the kitchen and is surrounded by bar stools for extra seating.
As you would expect, comfort food fills the menu and was exactly what we were looking for after a couple hours of fun in the sun and ice cold spring water at the nearby Blue Hole. Chicken fried chicken it was after a recommendation from the waitress. Nice, tender, hunk-a-cluck with super crunchy batter and well seasoned cream gravy (extra please) which, of course, went smashingly on the mashed potatoes as well. No surprise there. Fried okra was golden brown and crisp, but the vegetable medley had to be replaced with a salad (for an additional charge) as the yellow squash in the dish was very bitter.
For café or diner style food, this is the place. Also, it is slightly less expensive than the neighboring Cypress Café for similar dishes. Service was friendly and fast.
