“Nice Escape”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Like others have said, the area is nicely kept with plentiful limestone sidewalks, a huge grassy area and clean bathroom facilities. I took a 1 yr old and 3 yr old and loved how easy it was to access. You easily can push a stroller/wagon/rolling cooler from your car to your chosen spot...no steps to wrestle with. It was in the mid 90's when we went, but the coldness of the water was still too much for my almost-2-yr-old to handle. After 10 mins of why-are-you-trying-to-kill-me crying, our baby was used to the water temp. My 3 yr old got used to it much faster. There was a small area that was shallow enough for our kids to walk, but I really wish that there had been more. I think that we will return again when our kids are closer to 5-7 yrs old. We'll all be able to enjoy it more then.

“great!!!!”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

liked everything the park well kept, water so clean and cold, but felt great..swinging off the tree the best. The Blue Hole goes from sallow to deep so that was nice.

“Beautiful place!”
Reviewed June 21, 2012 via mobile

The park itself is beautiful. We thought there would be more hiking trails. It looks like they are still in the process of upgrading the park. The swimming area is nice for young kids. Older kids might be bored after a while. Bring a picnic and stay for a while. There are huge cypress trees with plenty of shade.

“Absolutely Wonderful”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

A gorgeous blue lagoon in Wimberley. Rope swings, decks, easy access to the water. Grassy areas, stone picnic benches, large grassy areas for picnics and lots of shade trees. On the cliffs above there are many walking paths, basketball courts, sand volleyball, tennis courts, children's playscapes. A place to run, walk and swim. Wimberley's jewel.

“Pretty and popular”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

We went to see the park and not to swim. Good thing, because the number of swimmers allowed in at any one time is limited (don't know what the limit is, however) and there was a line of about a dozen people waiting for enough swimmers to leave so they could be allowed in. The renovations are nice, and we were glad to see a rainwater collection system and a plaque explaining how it works at this location. A great place to hike, especially in cooler weather. Since we were not planning to swim, we were not charged a fee to walk around and take some photos.
