From all the great reviews, we were expecting top notch food. The new place is really spacious and pleasant and it appears more space is planned with an outdoor bar and patio. The wait staff is well trained and friendly and the wait for the sandwiches was minimal. The sandwiches were interesting. I had the herbed chicken and was surprised it was chicken salad made with cucumbers, dill, celery and a lot of dressing that frankly tasted like tzatziki--not a bad combination--just different than I expected. The bread was a very good marbled rye of generous thickness. My husband had the Reuben and said the flavor was good but the meat rather tough. Our guest had the tuna, which she also described as interesting--it contained apples and walnuts. So, yes, I'll agree it's not your run of the mill sandwich shop but I wouldn't send my foodie friends there either. It did not meet my expectations based on user reviews but it was okay.
