Customer service is terrible! It seemed as if we were imposing on them when we asked for something so basic as more towels and toilet paper!!!! They even said they didn't have anymore"..they would have to go to Walmart and get some!!!! This was on a summer weekend and they were booked full ... One family in our group checked out and went to a hotel in Conroe !!! Don't waste your money on this place. It could be a wonderful place, but has a long way to go"

We just spent the weekend here for our son's wedding that was at Seven Coves clubhouse. We chose this place because the location was so close to the wedding. We even had the rehearsal dinner at the resort. The banquet room was nice, but very overpriced ($500) and when we got there, it was not clean, dead roaches and just not ready for a party. We would ask for simple things from the front desk and it just seemed like we were imposing on them. We had to ask 4 times just for trashcans. The rooms were not equipped well at all. We were short on toilet paper and only 2 towels for 5 people. When we ask for more, we were told they didn't have anymore and were going to have to go buy more. Others in our family had the same experience. One of our rooms had no AC, it was 88 in the room and the lady told us we would have to call the maintenance guy. I think she finally did. Another family member's electricity went out while she was trying to get ready for the wedding. It is a very pretty place right on the lake, but they just don't have it together. I was so excited to find it and thought it would be a great place for our family to be together, but just was completely disappointed in our entire experience there. I would not ever recommend this place to friends for a vacation. The rooms are very overpriced for what you get. I think if they could improve their facilities and especially customer service, then it could be a nice relaxing place for a vacation. We all (approx 20 plus) of us were not impressed at all and will not recommend in the future.

The location is awesome and perfect for us, since we use easy launch just up the lake on that side. The first impression when you walk in, is wow this nice. Then you start looking closer and see all the flaws...dirt, bugs, cobwebs on the railing, which is not sturdy, missing or broken handles, amenities missing, running out of toilet paper, hugely thick pillows, making it impossible to get a much needed good nights sleep. So, while the sunset is gorgeous, very cute with the lighthouse in the view, and right on the water, there is something very wrong with this place. We will never stay there again. I believe it starts with management. One girl from the front desk tried her best to accommodate us, but her manager is the problem from what we experienced.

Our second stay, in addition to not having the amenities completely stocked, and the room not cleaned well, we had to deal with a huge, noisy, obnoxious crowd next door, with very little compensation. My husband and son slept in one of their studios that happen to be available, while I toughed it out in our original two bedroom. They too were woken up by the next room cooking in the kitchen very early in the morning. Walls are too thin and rules are not enforced on keeping it peaceful and pleasant. Pool looks murky. The price is ridiculous considering the caliber of the atmosphere and experience. What a shame! The location has such potential to be a much needed gem on Lake Conroe. Lake Conroe is in dire need of something clean and well serviced, and for the right price. For the price we paid, we have much higher standards!

Room Tip: Because of the hit or miss nature of this property, don't even go there!

Sunset Harbor Resort is a beautiful waterfront venue for a wedding. We had our daughters wedding here in December of 2010. Mrs. Terri Thenenot was our wedding planner and I don't know what we would have done without her, she made everything happen just how we wanted it. Terri was always very professional and committed to ensuring us the wedding we hoped for. The resort was decorated beautifully, the food was delicious and the whole night was just amazing. We also booked the resort for the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner which was just beautiful and alot of fun. I highly recommend this resort for your wedding venue as long as Terri is there to take charge of your every need.
