If you need a place to rest from all you sightseeing and lake time fun...The Landing at Seven Coves is it. Not the nicest places, not the worst place either ~ Average. The two bedroom, two bath is perfect for 6 people max. Great Lake Conroe views from your patio/deck. Bring bug spray for outside. The staff was easy to communicate with and they have lots of local area attraction information at the office.

Lures Icehouse is right down the road and offers a delish steak night on Tuesday's with live music ~ Stephen Sweeten. Both a must!
In Montgomery you should try Logan's on FM 149 South. Lovely new establishment offering a limited menu...however, the menu is perfect with all the fresh ingredients used. The owners are personable and the staff was very attentive. Also offering a wide range of local wines. Try the Aggie Blush or Valentine.
Molly's Irish Pub in Conroe was lots of fun...yummy beer and great sandwiches. Off 75, on 336.
Original Super Burger in Willis is AWESOME! Lots to choose from and every item is well worth the wait.

Room Tip: Seven buildings...If interested in looking over the hot tub, ask for 1-3-4. We feel building 7 is be...

Right on the lake, sunrise view, enjoyed relaxing on the balcony (not so private though,) much more pleasant and cleaner than the Sunset Harbor. Not perfect though. Bath mat looked very dirty and the tub as well. Still needs some updating. We would still stay here again. For the price, it is right, we'll sacrifice sunset view...if only they acquired the Sunset Harbor...hmmm...

I still think someone could do well with turning something into a very well serviced and very clean gem on Lake Conroe, at the right price.

Room Tip: We had trouble figuring out the fan in upstairs room, still don't know what got it on. Lay a cl...

The Landing at Seven Coves was great. Balcony - awesome; Room - great; mattress - horrible (pulled the fold out off to the floor); pool, spa, workout room - great. Lots to do here but relaxing on the patio or in the spa and walking by the water were what we went for and we were not dissapointed. Didn't expect perfection so we were happy. ask for an upstairs room as anyone above you is loud.

Our one bdrm was really large. Ample bedding and supplies. Coffee maker had extra filters for the week. We were on the bottom floor and the upstairs guests floor would "creek" with every step they made. Bed was hard (very firm). Patio was right on the lake. I caught a 20" channel catfish and hooked up a couple "too big for my tackle" grass carp. Hardly anything around the area. Helpful staff.

This condo exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and every thing was in order when we arrived. We have enjoyed the view from the deck and seeing the ducks & birds flying around. They have activities and we went to movie night which was great. The pool looks great but the temp isn't quite warm enough to use it. The neighborhood is really nice to walk around to get some exercise. This is a great time of year but when the weather is warmer there will be alot more going on. I would come here again if we are ever back in this area.

Travelers included 2 Seniors, 1 Adult, and a Toddler. The pictures on the internet don't do the place justice, it wound up being much nicer than the pictures depicted to me. Very well stocked from kleenex to dishwashing liquid, pots, pans, cutlery and everything you would need to run a normal household. Keep in mind that this is a timeshare and there is no housekeeping unless you pay extra for it. On Wednesdays they will exchange your old linen & towels for clean fresh ones but you have to bring your items to their laundry center for the exchange. The place was pretty clean but the furnishings could have used either new covers or some good old fashion steam cleaning. One of the couch cushions had a giant stain on it, and our original sofa bed mattress was badly stained so we just requested another. Surprisingly the sofa bed turned out to be pretty comfortable sleeping. I found the rooms to be spacious. It is an old place, a throw back to either the late 70's or 80's but the staff there do their very best in upkeep. Any request for maintenance was met in a timely fashion...we did not have to sit for days or hours and wait! The location was great, sitting right on the water but keep in mind that in Aug/Sept when we went it was so dog gone hot that use of the beautiful balcony was not an option. It was great to peer out over the water but that had to be done early morn before the sun was fully out and the heat really set in. The AC in the room was very good, we wound up turning it down or off because it had gotten a bit chilly for us, although the nighttime outside temps were pretty high. Take your insect spray which you will need most definitely at night, just like near any body of water the mosquitos are abundant especially at night. They had much to do in the resort but again spent so much time touring in Houston didn't have time to take advantage of the local stuff. Plan on an hour to 2 hours' driving one way to reach your tourist attractions (especially during rush hour traffic), so proximity to attractions is not close but with the decent fuel prices it was bearable. We got the week for a song and a dance through EndlessVacationRentals.com so all in all I cannot complain not one bit. Would we come back again....I would hope so!

This resort is on Lake Conroe, a large, man-made lake 40 miles north of Houston. We are an active retired couple and used the unit as a base for bicycling in the area.
Let me start by saying that my standards for an RCI exchange are pretty basic. My primary requirement is the location. After that if it’s clean, everything is in working order, I can cook a simple breakfast, AC/heat is comfortable and the bedding is as advertised, I’m satisfied. The Landing fulfilled all of these requirements.
The unit was a little dark downstairs but the upper bedroom had windows facing the lake and a nice, large bathroom. We chose to sleep upstairs even though the jetted tub was in the lower bedroom. The bedding/linins were simple but comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was clean although a little worn with some stains. The best part of the unit is the deck, which overhangs the lake. It wasn’t as private as I would have liked but it was still very nice to sit out and watch the birds and boats.
We did not use the pool or hot tub. The hot tub’s location was appealing as it was located on a deck right on the lake. At the time we were staying there were no activities. There may be more when it’s high season.
The resort is located in a large residential development. There was no dining or shopping on or near the resort. We had to drive several miles to get groceries or go to a restaurant. Willis is a small town and there isn’t much besides touristy restaurants and strip malls in the surrounding towns. Other than the Lake itself, there isn’t much to do or see in the immediate area. We drove to some of the nearby state/national forest parks and bicycled in those areas. We rented a pontoon boat for a day, which was very nice and relaxing that time of year. Although it’s technically close to Houston, Houston is a very big city and the resort it is pretty far from some of the attractions, especially those related to NASA.
We visited in early spring. The lake was quiet, and we had perfect weather. I’m not sure I would want to be there when the hundreds of motorboats hit the water and the temp is in the 90’s but for us, in late March is was a nice stay.
