We were in Wichita Falls for a family member's college graduation and required accommodations for 8 adults; we booked this location on Travelocity.com because the hotel advertised this as a 2 bedroom suite with a sitting/living area that would sleep 8 adults for $144 per night. Room description on Travelocity further stated one bedroom had a king bed, a second bedroom had 2 queen beds, and a sleeper sofa was in the sitting area. Upon checking in on Saturday May 11 and going to the 'suite', we learned it was nothing more than two adjoining rooms with no sitting/living area and only slept 6. The lady working front desk was unapologetic and offered no compensation/accommodations for the other 2 adults in our party so they were forced to obtain another room. Grounds, lobby, and rooms were clean; beds comfortable, bathrooms were spotless, housekeeping staff polite and helpful, air conditioner worked well, and there was a mini-fridge and small microwave in the 'suite'. Elevators consistently made loud banging noises when arriving at desired floor and frequently lowered an additional few inches after the door opened. Breakfast was horrid - cold eggs, coffee that resembled watered down tea, hostess didn't keep food items stocked, and milk/other dairy items were room temperature. Front desk staff had poor attitudes and were reluctant to extend check-out for an additional 30 minutes to our party so we could go eat breakfast at a near-by restaurant. Sunday morning there was a receipt under our door listing charges as $184, billed to an American Express card. First of all, the rate we paid to Travelocity was $144 and second, we don't have an American Express card. We went down to front desk where the lady grabbed the receipt and wouldn't give an explanation of what the discrepancy was. She refused to give the receipt back. I wouldn't recommend this property based on the bogus room description, negative attitudes of front desk personnel, and questionable billing practices. We usually stay at Hilton properties and are Hilton Honors members but their properties in Wichita Falls were booked. I hope Baymont enjoy's the money we paid them because they'll never get another dime from us.

I am so sorry that I was not able to accomodate you at Baymont Inn & Suites to your expectation. As I told you on the phone when you came to check in and found the confusion on the suites, to please make your accomodations in the future direct to the hotel. Unfortunately, if we were able to make changes to your stay we would have, but when you book through a third party, which in this case was Travelocity, then you are there guest and we are limited to honor their request on your behalf. I have gone through Travelocity website and called them to try to find out where you got the information from that there was a sofa sleeper in the room and could not duplicate that information from their website or from contacting them on the phone. Maybe it is possible that they were referring to another 2-room suite type which does offer a sofa sleeper and sitting area, but only has two kings beds instead of the suite you had which offers 3 total beds. As for the American Express card, that is the card that Travelocity used to pay for your room. It is our negligence that you recieved this receipt as this receipt should have gone only to Travelocity and in turn they provide you with a receipt at the time of purchasing your room. As for the breakfast, I am sincerely sorry that after a disappointing start to the room situation, that you were not met with a more accomodating and hot breakfast. If in the future if you will trust again, I would love the opportunity to make a future visit more enjoyable for you and your family. Please ask for me in the future if you will allow us to servie you again.
