20th Century Technology Museum
Ranked #3 of 8 things to do in Wharton

If you have a chance, and are in Wharton, stop here for an hour or two. This great little place is not your modern, spacious museum. It is a collection of saved bits providing a snapshot of our country at various points as it moved through the last century. Not slick and packaged, just fun. A must-see!

Art & Sharon Schulze have developed a wonderful museum of the technology of the 20th century. The displays range from toys to aircraft! Things that you may have grown up with are here! Radios, telephones, televisions, cameras, computers, typewriters, kitchen appliances, toys, military & space exploration, medical devices, and a miniature working steam tractor. Aviation memorabilia including a Norden Bombsight, propeller from Clarence Chamberlin's airplane, flight helmets, altimeter from Winston Churhill's plane, a homebuilt Skeeter Hawk biplane, and one of the world's few Ornithopters.
