Texans know BBQ, and Scott's is no exception.
The tender cuts of meat and flavorful sauce make this a great place to eat. I would recommend it on a weekday so that you could eat and then take in the local attractions. I will say that my wife is not keen on their side dishes, but I truly enjoy everything about it. I also appreciate the fact that you can talk to the owner--as opposed to a franchisee--and enjoy some historic photographs and artifacts from a bygone era.
