Floyd's Cajun Seafood House
Ranked #16 of 157 Restaurants in Webster
Certificate of Excellence
Description: Since 2004, Floyd's Cajun Seafood brings a great culinary tradition from Louisiana to Texas. Our restaurant was born and bred by entrepreneurs with deep roots in Texas, Louisiana, and every crawfish pond in between. We're Cajun to the core and given the chance, we'll show you what life on the bayou tastes like. Floyd's is undoubtedly unmatched when it comes down to providing the most unique flavor combinations known to man. We start with Floyd's truly authentic, one-of-a-kind blend of seasoning and spices that tops off the bugs after their bath in our house specialty boil. Then, we get ahold of Boudreaux and Thibodeaux and get us da best crawdads dey can fine. After that, it's a finely balanced system of timers, pulleys, and whistles that makes it all possible for you to enjoy the one real pleasure a Cajun can share with the world -- dat's right, crawfish. Everything about Floyd's embodies ole Louisiana from our décor and ambiance to our cuisine. We've recreated the character, quality, and integrity of the authentic Cajun seafood we so proudly serve. Visit us today and "laissez les bons temps rouler" or "let the good times roll!"

This place really pulls in the crowd, so that tells you the food is good. I wish they were bigger, lines are long on weekends. They do have good seafood, no doubt, but we still prefer the one in Pearland over this one that is closer to our house.

To start with my friend ordered fried stuffed shrimp. The waitress told her, "no, the stuffing doesn't fry well you may want to try the grilled". It puzzled us because other restaurants seem to fry them quite well with no problem. She ordered them fried not a problem.

I ordered the 1/2 catfish 1/2 oyster plate, About 5 mins later the waitress came back to the table. Somehow she managed to misplace our order. So we gave the order to her again. My order came out wrong, I was given 1/2 shriimp instead. Had to bring that to her attention. Once the catfish arrived, I took a bite, the fish was noticeably not fresh and had to return it for oysters. Instead of her changing my ticket a full order of oysters, the waitress left it as a 1/2 and 1/2 order. I inquired into the matter and she said, well we brought you half the oysters then we brought you the other half oysters. It was my thought that 1/2 and 1/2 means you order half of one item and half of a different item. It was just horrible all around. The service was lousy and the food was mediocre.

Good gumbo, fried catfish pieces, Dawg shrimp, fried oysters and best boiled shrimp are perfect. Service is great. Onion rings are fabulous but takes four people to finish one order.

I have been going to this place for a long time each time I go the bathroom is a wreck. The wait for a table at 8:30 on Friday night was 40 min. The bar was screaming loud. An overserved female patron was making a huge scene and for a good 15 min was walking around telling everyone who would listen about her plight. Got seated ordered Dawg Shrimp which is butterflied pan grilled in seasoning took 45 min to get the app however the waiter did apologize and say it would be on him. The shrimp were very fresh and tasty, Gumbo was good, had fried catfish over cooked, fried okra was over breaded. By the time we got all the food had a few bites and packed it up waiting overall almos 2 hours for food was too long. I think they are over priced on some things too.

They have the best raw oysters in town! Gumbo good, burgers awesome but hard to choose over the cajun offerings. French fries and onion rings homemade and delish! Blood Mary's great and beer cold. Just love this place!
