Owner description: Clark Gardens Botanical Park welcomes visitors all year long. The breathtaking 35 acre oasis awakens the senses, stirs the spirit and relaxes the mind. From the first spring blossoms to the colorful fall and into the stillness of winter there is a sense of magic. Wheelchair accessible pathways wind through lavish ribbons of color and fragrance. Waterfalls sparkle in the sunlight splashing down to ponds and lakes where black and white swans, along with other waterfowl, glide in the shimmering waters. You may see peacocks strutting, or get a glimpse of blue herons or great egrets swooping down, their huge wingspans casting shadows over the lakes.

I have visited Clark Gardens twice now - once in early March, before spring had "sprung," and once in the midst of Texas' bluebonnet season. In April/May the gardens are just stunning with fields of bluebonnets and poppies. But even when the plants are not in boom, there is plenty to see in the huge rose garden and with the model train exhibit. I plan to visit many more times!

In my opinion, this place is a embarrassment to Mineral Wells! Do NOT have a wedding here! It is way over priced and they do not stand by their word or their contract!! The coordinators lie, they wait till after the rehearsal to pick up the birds nest and wasp nest. The coordinator cashed check but NOT to the gardens, for themself!!! All they care about is taking you for your money!! By far the worst venue I could have picked for my wedding! The willow lake is way better priced and right down the road! They are very friendly!! I recommended two of my engaged friends to go there and they are very pleased so far!!

If you are in Fort Worth, it really does not compare to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The Lake Mineral Wells Bike Trails runs for 18 miles between Weatherford and Mineral Wells . If you are biking the trail, it's definitely worth the stop because it is along the trail. (Sorry- but I don't know of any bike rental in the area so it is more of a local attraction.)

Clark Gardens is a great way to get outside and enjoy the beautiful plants and water features. The model train exhibit is also neat to see.

This is a beautiful place to see if you make it out west of Weatherford. Due west of the small town
of Garner, it is a nice drive also. The spring time is the best time to go as the flowers are very beautiful.
