Owner description: Clark Gardens Botanical Park welcomes visitors all year long. The breathtaking 35 acre oasis awakens the senses, stirs the spirit and relaxes the mind. From the first spring blossoms to the colorful fall and into the stillness of winter there is a sense of magic. Wheelchair accessible pathways wind through lavish ribbons of color and fragrance. Waterfalls sparkle in the sunlight splashing down to ponds and lakes where black and white swans, along with other waterfowl, glide in the shimmering waters. You may see peacocks strutting, or get a glimpse of blue herons or great egrets swooping down, their huge wingspans casting shadows over the lakes.

It has everything you want out of a beautiful garden, with wildlife, foliage, flowers, trains, activities! Makes a wonderful place to read, draw, have a picnic! Simply fantastic!

Thirty five acres of irises, roses, canna lilies, day lilies, bluebonnets, and many other flowers and flowering plants plus many, many trees and shrubs of every description........in a setting of trees native to Texas growing among several ponds habitated by ducks and geese..... Call ahead for best times to visit.......April and May are usually the best months

Tranquil paths, ponds and views abound. It is a wonderful botanical park with lovely venues for weddings, special events and is clean and easy to enjoy.

We arrived a little late but Cathy met us with her cart and took us on a wonderful trip around the park. She was so knowledgeable about the plants, history, and even down to the soil and fertilizer that was used to get the best results. Even though it was February and there were very few blooms to be seen she pointed out the beauty of the "bones" of the trees and plants.and told us what we should look for when we might return in late May or early June. She enabled us to see the beauty of what was to come. What a hidden gem to be found.

It is quite a drive but very pretty even in February. Most of the spring flowers were up and some in bloom. I would probably wait until March the next time.
