“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Had eaten here before but it had been a while. The table side guacamole was not thoroughly mixed and the preparer seemed less than interested in her performance. We order the sampler plate for two and the bacon wrapped shrimp was the only thing on the platter that was warm. The ribs tasted like they had been baked and then painted with bbq sauce. Consistency of beef jerky. The chicken and beef fajitas might have been ok if they had not been cold. We did find out all about the waitress' vacation. Won't be back. For those reviewers who think this is authentic Mexican food, I suggest you go to Fort Worth.

“Best Tex Mex in Watauga..which isn't saying much more than that...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

Way better than most but not the best I've had and, prices keep going up. Sometimes the wait is very long. Flies and overall din are a problem...but, its a busy place and you won't leave hungry. The tablesideguac is reasonable and as you like it. Salsa is different and highly addictive. Never had a lazy waiter/ress. So 4.25 of 5.

“Great Tex-Mex with some of the best guacamole ever.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

I am not usually a fan of Tex-Mex. But, this place is excellent. Our service was above average and the guacamole was made table side, well worth the seven dollars both in quantity and flavor. We will come back whenever we are in the DFW area. The fish tacos were good, the brisket tacos were awesome.

“Festive atmosphere and delicious fare.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

Our experience at Fresco's Cocina was very pleasant. on the balance our food was very good to excellent. The guacamole is delicious and the salsa is exceptional. Margaritas were mixed from quality ingredients. On the negative side, the restaurant was loud and the tables were wobbley.

“Pur new local mexican restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

We have been living in the area for 9 years and decided to try. Very delicioso!! I had the lunch tacos and hubby had enchiladas first day. All very tender and very good. Manager came out to talk with us about the menu and establichment. So glad its not another chain! We ordered tableside guac (a must!) They make it to your specifications. However, we felt bad on the 2nd day cause we saw people tipping the maker of the the guac. Will have to double on tip next time. The second day we went during dinner. Very festive, had a live band on patio. I had grilled chicken with a queso sauce and rice and hubby had beef fajitas. He said they were very tender and flavorful. We loved the chips, they were thin and hot and the tomato salsa for dipping was great! I think they are much better than our usual "mexican" chain restaurant near us and will go here now. Hey, we went twice in a row..that says something!
