We enjoyed our visit to the park. There are a lot of trails to walk and a lot of historical artifacts in the museum. The gift shop is very nice, too.

“Exerience the Birthplace of Texas”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

This out of the way place was very educating in knowing how the events leading up to and the signing of Texas as an independent nation. Their visitor center/gift shop along with their historical information displays is worth visiting. We took a quick tour of the park (on foot) and enjoyed the Brazos and the plaques that described the events that had taken place there. I found out just how little I knew about Texas history. Very interesting!

“A must see site for Texas historians!”
Reviewed May 17, 2012

This out of the way site is the birth place of the Texas Republic. The building where the Texans declared their independance has been reproduced on the original site. There are beautiful grounds, a visitor's center, a museum, and the Anson Jones farm. The farm is particularly interesting, with animals that are representative of those that would have been there in the mid 1800's. Worth a visit.

“I know a little more about Tx history”
Reviewed May 10, 2012

Enjoyed our short visit there. The personnel at the Visitor center was very informative and their display on the history of the site is worth visiting. We just took the quick tour of the top part of the park and down by the Brazos.
