We drove through the park with the top down on our car late Sunday morning. The road winds through a beautify area and stops at several spots to get out for pictures. Take the time to read all the historical markers and you will end up with a better appreciation of the park and it's significance to Waco.

This is a great place to get lost for a day and get some great exercise. I have been biking the trails in this park for a few years now and there are some very fun and challenging rides. I just recently started doing the running trails and they are even better. You will definitely encounter fewer people on the running trails. You can also ride horseback in several parts of the park, except where there are wooden bridges which don't appear strong enough for the weight of a horse. The part is centered around two rivers so there are great views and also nice places to picnic.

Waco has recently invested a lot of money in making the park nicer and providing better areas to BBQ and hang out. It's great and there is usually a crowd, especially when the weather is nice.

I would say beware of your surroundings and go with others when possible. There are some less than desirable individuals you may run into and for sure avoid at night.

Been to many zoos around the US and this is one of the nicest. Not too large, reasonable entrance price and you can really get close to the animals. THere is a great play area for kids.

We always take a drive through Cameron park to look for wildflowers. Easter was early and the bluebonnets were not out yet. It's been too cold this year.
