We stopped in Waco on our way to visit our son and his wife in Austin. We'd driven by Waco many times but decided we should stop and visit at least once. After staying at the Cotton Palace we will be back! The B&B is beautiful. We passed a pleasant time sitting on the porch chatting with Becky. She is a warm and engaging person and a perfect hostess.
The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. I was cautious about B&B's (see my review of the so-called Romantic Mansion in Toronto) but I can't wait to go back. Waco was full of surprises and the Cotton Palace was a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast with Dutch was a great treat. I learned a lot and was honored to meet him. I would honestly go back just to repeat the experience. Breakfast was filling and tasty with plenty of variety. There is a good reason why the Cotton Palace is ranked so highly; it deserves to be.More
