“Good burger, but not the best I've ever had...”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Been driving through Waco for years and decided to finally stop here.

Wasn't mind blowing by any means. It was a good burger and ok shake. The onion rings were good and I enjoyed looking at the pictures in the dining area.

It's definitely worth a first experience, but I don't know that I'll go out of my way to go back there.

“So good!”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

You can't say that an old-style burger joint that's been around since the 1940's is anything less than legitimate. Don't ask for a veggie burger - they'll laugh you out of the place! We're talkin 100% certified Angus beef here - charred to perfection and served on a soft toasted white bun. The fries are perfect and served skin-on. Didn't have the onion rings but they smelled amazing. These folks also specialize in frozen custard, shakes and banana splits. The only thing healthy about the menu is if you just need a double meat bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos, fries and a Dr Pepper as big as your head to get through the rest of your day!

“Old-style burger joint. Good food.”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

This place is always packed, especially before or after a Baylor game, so be prepared to wait for a table to become available. What you get here is old-style hamburgers, fries, and shakes. They can make you a real cherry coke or vanilla coke. It's old, crowded, grungy, and a local tradition.

“Wow! Great Burger and Shake”
Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

If you don't mind a few calories, you have to go get a burger at Health Camp. It's so good. They have more shake flavors then you will find at your typical fast food joint. Try the roasted marshmallow; you will not be disappointed.

“Health Camp”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

The only reason this is still open is because of the memories of alumni! Students visit mostly to see where their parent and grandparents went. Prepare for long wait most nights.
