“Nice place to eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012

The cafe is very nice and well decorated. We ordered the chicken fried steak and grilled chicken. I personally liked the grilled chicken better but my kids loved the huge chicken fried steak. Service took a while but it might have been because the place was almost full. There are not many places to go eat at Utopia and probably most of the town's visitors were eating here.

“Great food, small town atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2012

My husband and I had chicken fried steak and fried onion rings, which were both delicious with great coating, but both eaten together were a little too much fatty food in one meal. The chicken fried steak with another non-fried vegetable or baked potato, or the onion rings with a hamburger probably would have been a better choice. The chocolate pie we had for desert was one of the best I have ever eaten. Service was good, perhaps a little slow, but in a restaurant like this, it only adds to the atmosphere. It added to our total Utopia/Lost Maples experience, and I would not hesitate to dine here again if in the area.

“Good food, service so-so”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

We ate here both nights of our stay as it was the only dining option. The food is of the comfort variety - no vegetables, few salads, and even those are made with iceberg lettuce. The food, however fried or greasy, is good. The service? Eh. Your order is taken promptly but after that it's up to you to get the waitresses attention for a refill of your beverage or the ordering of dessert. Their pies are AMAZING (homemade) and I highly recommend the pecan fudge. If you like chocolate then you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. (Be sure to ask them to heat it just a little.....)

“Two dinners in Utopia”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

You NEVER know who you will meet in this little cafe! We were eating dinner Sunday, 11/28/12 and ran into an friend that we had just talked about because of a trip to Utopia 5 years ago. What is the probability of that? The food was great, many choices, great towns people to talk to. Two great dinners!

“Great food, but took to long”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Great pancakes and bisque and gravy. But they took two hours to get it to us. It might be better at different times, but this way to long. Never got drinks refill or any other service.
