“Decent but Noisy”
Reviewed July 2, 2006

Conveniently located close to the intersection of Loop 323 and the Troup Highway, this place is like staying in an apartment complex. There are many separate buildings on site with approximately 6 efficiency units in each building. The rooms are large and have a large kitchen equipped with a full sized stove and refrigerator, dishwasher, plates, glasses, and utensils so you could save some money by cooking your own meals (instead of going out to restaraunts) if you are planning to stay more than a couple of days. The unit also had a combination kitchen table/ work desk with internet hookups, living room with couch and lounge chair, queen size bed, and a full size bathroom. There is a very small pool and hot tub on the property. The complex is a little older and is decently maintained but the rooms could have been a bit cleaner as there was some mold around the tile on the tub and although I reservd a non-smoking room, my room smelled heavily of smoke. A nice feature of the "inn" is the happy hour from 5-7 every night. They serve free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and some type of appetizer nightly (grilled chicken sandwiches with chips and veggies the night I was there). A hot breakfast is also served although I was not able to check it out as I left prior to 6:30 a.m. A negative of the place is that it is located very close to a local hospital so you routinely get to hear ambulance sirens as they come and go from the hospital. This happened 5-6 times during the night and was a bit irritating. However, this is a decent place to stay, especially if you stay for more that a day or two and are able to make use of the kitchen.

Soft, back breaking bed, baby pillows, lots of noise, dripping drain, tiny breakfast area. Never again.

It's an older property but fairly well kept. Great location in Tyler on S. Loop 323. it's laid out like an apartment complex, 2 stories with parking right outside the rooms.

The large units have 2 br/2ba and are 2 stories with one bedroom up and one down and a soaring 2 story ceiling in the main living area. 2 TV's and High speed internet access. The kitchens are nice and big. The whole unit just feels, and is, BIG. You will be amazed at just how roomy these units are.

The studio's don't have a seperate bedroom but do have a living area with fireplace, couch etc. They too have really nice big kitchens.

I really feel at home in these units whether I get the studio or 2br.
