this place is packed, no matter what time of day you go. the food is good, and the coffee is great, but sometimes it's not worth a 30 minute wait

IHOP is our choice for 24/7 good breakfast food. Of course, they have other foods...burgers, salads, porkchops, meatloaf, spaghetti, but we go for the huge omelets, waffles, crepes, and pancakes. Wait staff are always friendly and the food is delivered quickly.

I like the IHOP chain of restaurants for filling breakfast/lunch items. The Tyler store is a bit disappointing size-wise. You must drive into the lot from an extremely busy downtown road and fight to find space to park. It is handier to drive into the building behind from a different street and use their space although that's hardly fair unless it's Sunday and they're closed.

The dining room is very small by any standard and one feels as though seated in the kitchen itself! The poor waitstaff have to struggle with those enormous trays full of food while dodging the hostess and other customers. I've always been pleased with the service. They seem to really hustle there. I recommend it, though, despite the drawbacks.
